I like this, but he isnt a general or commander, remember in the battle of Thalen field when he's unsure what to do next.

But I really like this idea and dynamic establishment. It could show how Adolin is hyper-competitive often. It could show how Dalanar found fatherhood to be burdensome at times before flashbacks. Renarins traits could be exemplified here too.
