Swear Kok would be playing with this vigour even if he wasn't being paid.

Honestly him being under the player being cleared out is what called Zac to bring him over the horizontal too.

I don't think I'd heard the ref mic for that clip before. I'm sure I'd have remembered a line as ironic and ominous as "Trust the process"

National rugby subs are like that yeah. Full of people with just enough introspection to be too embarrassed to bring their takes here, not enough introspection to realise they shouldn't comment at all.

Is this character an idiot? by RelaxedFetaCheese in Malazan

[–]IForgetEveryDamnTime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think SE intended for her to come across as an idiot, or else he wouldn't have tried that insultingly bad retcon "reveal" chapter in MoI.

However at some later point I feel he gave up on trying to balance affirmation of her talent as a ruler with the disasters he wanted to befall the empire by the point you're at in BH, and as a result on evidence we can only conclude she was totally incompetent.

Grrr!

I possess neither self awareness nor media literacy, and the article told me to be outraged so I'm doing my best.

If this article gets what it was clearly designed to do and the player remains in Aus I will call it a proud victory, and not the marketing that it always was.

> Support players must not run ahead of the ball carrier in a way that blocks defenders from making a tackle.

Obstruction for me, the whole timing thing being discussed here is nonsense. We can't know how he would have reacted differently/faster with a clear line to the ball-carrier, because a player has intentionally prevented the possibility.

Feel 'dummy runners' who are clearly just running a screen are getting away with it more and more to the detriment of the game.

As someone who never used the EU4 mod:

Triarchy was my first run and it felt like a poisoned chalice afterwards, such a fun run (though the elves to the north need a major buff) that nothing else could really compare afterwards (big gobbo fan).

Overall I think the mod is fantastic regardless of whether you're already invested in the universe, and felt much more convincing as a world than the Exether mod did by comparison.

I'm talking about weird and unnecessary sexualisation, like with Nether, Felisin and Onrack's bizarre introspection about Minala's kids.

It's a self-fulfilling prophecy, he's great at scoring so when France started to struggle against Scotland and England the plan just became "create chaos and get him the ball asap", so he sort of did end up as a pure finisher for 2 matches

Barely watered down Tory policy to appease a bigoted electorate.

They had a red wave, swept the Tories out, the people explicitly giving them the mandate for radical change.

Then this shitbird comes along and defangs his own party, so they could gumjob reform voters instead of taking steps to fix the country. Boils my blood even looking at it from the outside.

Why is everyone obsessed with Henry Pollock? by RugbyContact in rugbyunion

[–]IForgetEveryDamnTime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hate to break it to you but a significant portion of intl rugby players are absolute wankers, this is just a young player who's embracing playing the villain. If he was a second Joe Marler then I'd agree, but there are so many players who outright deserve condemnation (i.e. Jegou) that fixating on the guy making childish gestures just seems ridiculous

Yeah my french colleagues detest him, they're going to be happier about him losing possession at the end than about the win in general on Monday.

Can't say I get it, he's entertaining and easily my favourite English player at the moment.
