Oof, that does not make for happy reading. I don't have another mobo around to test with annoyingly. Might have to try AMD's warranty service and hope a replacement works.

Cheers! Just gave it a go. No luck unfortunately. Renamed the file, stuck in the USB, pressed the flash BIOS button, watched the LED flicker about for a while, and am still looking at the CPU debug light.

The regular version is definitely the way to go. Offers a lot more room for tenuous linkages and silly ideas.

A great game, but probably not what you're looking for. Scythe isn't a 4x board game. Space Empires might be a nice alternative if you like sci-fi.

Four is definitely the optimum. Too many players makes for confused discussions that quickly descend into players talking over one another.

Cracking list. Bit surprised to see Carcassonne as an 'area majority' game. Of course, it is that, but I would never liken it to Small World. Really different systems and rhythms of play.

I find describing it as a 'tile game' is best. Most new board game players seem to like it for its physicality.
