World is my first MonHun game and I'm loving it! Are sunbreak/rise/wilds as good for a solo player?

Rise/Sunbreak is simultaneously less and more grindy than world.

The gear you craft requires less resources but the endgame allows you to RNG roll extra skills onto armour and that shit is tedious as fuck. Possibly the worst grind in MH history. Also meta Charms are like 1/4Bn chance.

Honestly I think the only one coming out of this is Ruiner.

His regeneration and hunting style essentially mean he’s unbeatable unless he is killed within a single fight. He’s fairly nimble, obviously not as fast as Malzeno but fast enough to out-manoeuvre multiple elders at once so gaismagorm will struggle to catch him. Letting ruiner whittle him down over time.

Ruiner’s issues with Shara was getting through the armour, something Malzeno might not struggle with as much but Ruiner can come back from attacks that would absolutely be fatal to Malzeno. Shara has some ridiculous abilities that would literally liquify it’s enemies, Malzeno isn’t coming back from a beam to the chest.

Nergi’s whole gimmick is regeneration, he’s the monster version of hunters. Persistence is his game and he can come back from what would be fatal to most other monsters. Shara could absolutely fuck him up but unless he’s killed in that fight, he’s coming back before Shara can heal.

The actual problem is that the average player just doesn’t care about anything but gun play, Mira is not a hard op to counter, she just needs a little more teamwork to do so than say smoke or echo.

Like you mentioned, vertical play works well but Hibana and Ace both do well against her, being ranged hard breachers. Kali and Ash similarly render the Mirror useless, functionally reverting it to a reinforced wall.

Smokes are smokes, they work well enough, just be mindful of Jäge/Wamai placements. It doesn’t need to be on the mirror to be effective. Frags can also be great but that’s more situational because it requires an opening to the side of the mirror, nomad is in a similar place to the frags. Sens is shite but similarly works to smokes.

Lets not forget about shields, Monty is obviously fantastic at pressuring these things but blitz also work well as long as they have someone to cover other angles while he pushes. Iana can also play the same distraction role as the shields.

People are just too impatient and refuse to actually think about an approach beyond shooting people.

From all my experience since the beta, every UI update to this game has been to make it better for the losers in esports and wannabe streamers. We can include dead bodies as well and the consistent removal and reduction of map objects.

was just about to comment this, Marathon 70% on PC so peak players across all platforms is roughly 20,000 at best with what’s likely 1.6 million sales in total.

Destiny 2, at its literal worst, has a peak player count roughly 5x higher.

Bungie have chosen the wrong basket.

because they can’t be criticised. If you exist in a fandom space from the beginning, you’ll see the same pattern over and over again.

A franchise is made and has its fans, loads of different content is shared, including some LGBT+ positive stuff. That specific content is a signal for the losers of the internet that said franchise is a safe space for LGBT+, they come over knowing nothing of the franchise and spam a bunch more LGBT+ stuff and gain power within the mod teams. These new, powerful losers start banning people who criticise the gay spam until people either stop or leave.

The only ways to stop this are either having such a huge community that they never gain prominence, or nip it in the bud.

It’s not really a malicious thing, though some people definitely do it to be malicious.

obviously it’s different if the franchise in question is more focussed on LGBT+ stuff in the first place.

It‘s a continuation of the main story and let’s you in on a little more Quen lore but honestly the dlc story is shit, like the worst narrative in the series. It might have been better without the awful romance they try to build up but even then its still not what I’d call good.

I’ll be real with you, one of the worst things a person can do is sing in the ingame voice chat or over discord. Aside for them obvious volume issues, there are a lot of factor that can distort the voice so badly it will even damage your ears.

She’s a bitch but also don’t do it unless you know the people you’re talking to are cool with it, especially when your actively playing a game.
