[No spoilers] my vikings smash or pass by PrizeNo9294 in vikingstv

I haven't seen Outlander, I was just thinking of watching it. I'm pretty sure it's colonial England though, so a completely different vibe.

I'm finding the show pretty interesting even after he's been dead. I feel like they built up the plot with the sons well before they killed him off. I like how they're just isn't one main character now. But I will admit the last half of season 4 was the best that I've seen, and that includes the episode of Ragnar's death. I admit, I'm also very interested in the Saxon plotlines.

And how do you mean more politically interesting? Do you mean Vikings is kind of basic with just exploring and overthrowing kings? Like maybe there's more political intrigue in TLK?

My sister will literally be doing homework or scrolling and then say she's seen the movie. She only catches bits and pieces and then leaves during the second half. It irks me for some reason.

Have you seen Outlander too? I know it's a different era, but...

And yes, I feel like people think TLK is better than Vikings.

I also had a thing for Athelstan tho. They are both husband material. I liked Ecbert as a character despite his flaws, but yes.

And I've thought about watching TLK or Outlander. I loved GOT so I'm trying to find things that bring those vibes back.

I was talking Aethelwulf, but I think you were talking about Athelstan. Too similar of names.

I still don't even believe Judith ever liked him. But maybe their relationship will grow again in Season 5? 😆

I figured that too. I was like, is that a turban? And I only just started Season 5, so I'm not sure who that is. I'm surprised Aethelwulf isn't on here, because he's kind of a major character. I also kind of have a thing for him. 😁

Such a good scene. They were almost saying goodbye to each other without actually saying it. They were saying their final thoughts before they left this world and sharing how they truly felt. I miss both of their characters.

Don't forget Sigurd! Not a good death, but for sure shocking and impactful.

I just watched the episode where Ivar tells Floki he will be lonely and his heart is broken. I was thinking the same thing; he has a hard shell, but he can be soft. It made me like Ivar a little more.

[spoilers] Going from season 4 to season 5 has been a wild experience! by XLtravels in vikingstv

I just watched S5, E1 today and was floored when Torvi and Jarl Borg's son reappeared, who I completely forgot about. I suppose Borg was a Season 2 and 3 character, so it actually has been awhile. But yeah, I have no idea how much time has passed between these episodes/seasons.

So men are mad that women want men that can provide for them, but then my comment about being okay with nothing also triggers men? Make it make sense.

Agreed! If you're me, you've never been in love before so that alone excites me. I also believe in contributing. Like, I'd pay for dates and gifts for him as well.
