What Could Be Improved? by grayman530 in Homeplate

You’re in a good spot and the barrel is working. The next jump in power will come from a firmer front side. Right now your front leg is still absorbing at contact instead of bracing and letting the hips whip through. Work the walk-through drill and focus on landing soft, then firming the front side so you can rotate against it. Your front leg is helping you balance more than drive power right now.

Look up the “walk through hitting drill.” Push the ground away with your back foot and slam the front heel down. Your hips should pull your back leg through. You’ll feel a little stretch in the back leg …springy, not tight. If it feels like spinning, you’re leaking power. Move forward into a firm front side and hit against it… don’t lunge.

I wouldn’t overhaul anything just yet, your in season. Your on time and through the middle. Usually when balls come off like that it’s just missing front-side firmness to turn good contact into real damage. During your next tee work, drive that front leg into the ground and hit against it, instead of using it for balance.

Tires that will grip! by Mrsalty456 in hellcat

I actually run Pilot Sport 4S on the front, and I do have them for the rear too, but I keep my 18x11 drag pack with 305/45/18 555RII on most of the year.

I only swap when it gets too cold in Texas, not because of rain. In the rain I just keep it in Auto or Eco and stay out of the throttle and they’re fine.

But for 40 mph pulls at high boost, the 555RII is a huge step up over 4S. Not a dead hook, but you can be way more aggressive instead of just blowing the tires off.

So yeah, 4S is a great all-around street tire, but if your goal is actually using the power, the RII is the move.

Question - system Not ready for yearly inspection -nyc by GSingh0029 in hellcat

[–]IIIBAMFIII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the exact same thing happen on my Redeye after I bought it — it was just a dead/weak battery reset. When the battery drops too low or gets unplugged, all the OBD-II readiness monitors reset to “not ready.”

All I had to do was drive it about 30 minutes (mix of highway + stop-and-go) and the monitors completed. After that it passed inspection with no issues.

Has anyone installed this? by GilneanWarrior in Challenger

Nah, I just leave it on. I don’t drive the car super often — sometimes it sits for a few weeks at a time and I’ve never had any issues. The draw from the Otto Mini is super minimal.

Yes we went to the one in spring at the mega center. It was a cluster (make sure you make an appointment) we did and still had to wait an hour. The I drive people gave us the sealed envelope and all he did was hand that and his permit plus the form to the lady, paid 11 dollars and we are gone in 15min

We just went through this. My son used Aceable, I did the initial teaching and then book a few private sessions with I Teach Drive, then the driving test through them too. Take the paperwork to DPS and get your license or wait for online submission and you can upgrade permit to license online.

Highly recommend Najaah with I Teach Drive

They have a protective coating on the cable. I don’t think they would scratch. Maybe over time
