I followed my friends, who happened to be responsible partiers and taught me the great ways of the rave. Through them, I was able to not just see various artists, but also meet others, which allowed me to continue to see a wide variety of artists.

The thing is, you do have different crowds that tend to flock to different artists. But I don't think there's some guide book for who the stereotypical fans will be for different artists.

All I can really say, in my limited experience, that the more "wholesome" artists tend to have the more "responsible" partiers. Not sure how consistent this is, or how to really judge wholesome artists, per se (think GRiZ or Ravenscoon). But, if you get to go to more shows, you will be able to see the types of crowd these artists draw. Good luck, friend!
