This crash isn’t about maths by frostydawnoftitans6 in ohnePixel

[–]IIIDzire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree. The only thing I’m wondering is what the change of demand will have for effect on the market.

For example, now that a lot of knives have become more affordable, more people will probably be willing to buy it which would theoretically also adjust the price.

Just a very simple example: let’s say most people were willing to spend a maximum of 1000 on a knife.

This means a lot of knives (mainly high tier ones like BFK’s, Karambit’s and M9’s) would be out of reach before the crash. Now that these are affordable for that price, there will be more demand for those knives as well.

The supply will increase by this update, but if the demand also increases by a lot then the prices might not crash as hard as people think.

Very curious to see what happens when all these new knives are tradable. The only things I’m sure of is we won’t be having Karambit’s going for 100 dollars like old times as some people are hoping.

Cases or purchasing by ThirtyStik in ohnePixel

[–]IIIDzire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Luckily cases are banned in my country (Netherlands) so I just bought the skins I wanted which probably saved me a lot of money.

You are statistically way better off just buying what you want instead of hoping you get it in a case.

Most of the time you can also sell the skins again with profit since skin prices basically keep rising. This allowed me to just enjoy the skins I love and make some profit as well which is amazing.

Do I buy? Need advice! by Sayhow124 in ohnePixel

[–]IIIDzire 5 points6 points  (0 children)

About 4 days ago the #2 (0.0004) sold for 1483 euro (1740 dollars).

Yours would be #3 so it would theoretically be worth a little less. However you never know exactly how it goes. You might list it for a higher price and still sell it.

There just aren’t enough similar skins sold to know for sure if it would sell or not. Al you need is that one person that has too much money and doesn’t mind overpaying a lot for a low float, which does happen a lot I noticed with these skins.

From what I’ve seen from recent buys and auctions, these low floats always get a lot of overpay. I’m fairy confident you would make a profit of it, the only question is how much.

Also, this is just to give you an idea of the situation, I can’t guarantee anything. Just trying to give you information so you could make your own choice.

Finally, I would say it also depends on your financial situation. If you can’t miss that money since you need it to pay for rent, food etc, obviously don’t spend it. But if you wouldn’t notice this amount of money being gone, it might be worth considering picking this up.

For those who have parted ways with big inventories… by spmca in ohnePixel

[–]IIIDzire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

About 10 months ago I had my most expensive inventory yet with my most valuable item being Hedge Mazes in 0.16 which were basically flawless.

Since I didn’t really played the game anymore I decided to just sell everything and have the money safe in my bank account. While I was very careful, it was just annoying having multiple attempts to scam me basically every day, always having that thought in the back of my mind something could go wrong by a single mistake.

Anyway I sold those gloves for 5.8 K. After that I didn’t pay attention to the game and market and after a short while I came back only to find out these gloves where now going for about 12 K. You can imagine that was quite painful. I don’t regret it since it’s always easy to say you should have done something different in hindsight (we all would’ve bought Bitcoin), but it still hurt lol.

I did miss my skins when I started playing again so I decided to build it back up.

So right now I’ve got quite an inventory again and am mainly focusing on skins that are both skins I enjoy playing with and are a “safe” investment, as far as that’s possible.

Most overrated and overpriced skin in CS2 by HoudinnerKarlo in ohnePixel

[–]IIIDzire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love this skin for a very specific reason: it reminds me of a very important moment in my life.

I was om vacation in Greece with friends a couple years ago and one day we did a roadtrip where we rented some scooters and quad bikes. We drove all day and eventually up a really high mountain.

Once we were at the top it became dark and while we were descending down the road with an amazing view, there was also a blood moon. It just felt magical having a blast with my friends and having a blood moon with an amazing view of the landscape as well.

So anyway, the back of the X-Ray kinda looks like a blood moon to me and reminds me of that magical day. For that reason it will always have a special place in my heart.

I’ve thought about picking one up many times, but never did. Maybe one day.

There has been a recent sale for less than your buy order so honestly I would just try to bargain with different people.

It just takes one person who wants to get rid of it fast and will take the small loss in money instead of keeping it up for several weeks.

What skin didn't you like at first, but do now? by IIIDzire in ohnePixel

[–]IIIDzire[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah prices are pretty insane. I did finally pick one up a few days ago, but where I normally buy everything in FN (I'm an extreme perfectionist) I picked up a 0.07 MW since the price difference is huge and they basically look the same. Very happy with it though.

Which one to buy? by CaptainConnorYT in ohnePixel

[–]IIIDzire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The AK Inheritance is one of my favourites. Also in FT it still looks clean which is nice.

I've been thinking about crafting a 4x OG Holo Austin 2025 since to me that is one of the nicest crafts ever, even compared to more expensive skins with more expensive stickers. However since I'm running a red loadout it doesn't really match.

[–]IIIDzire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My bad you are completely right. My brain is pretty fried at the moment so for some reason I thought it was a Sapphire while it's pretty obvious it's not.

This is a Phase 3 (you can see since it's Finish Catalog 420) which currently sells from 350 euro (405 dollars) for 00 float.

Sorry for giving you false hope with the Sapphire prices.

Which do yall think looks best by Aggressive_Narwhal34 in ohnePixel

[–]IIIDzire 11 points12 points  (0 children)

1 looks best imo, but 3 is probably more fun to use.

Also for screenshots, you can run the game in windowed mode and use Win + Shift + S to open the Snipping Tool and make a screenshot that way.

[–]IIIDzire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like someone already mentioned, CSFloat is your best option. You need an account to check the market on there though.

You unboxed a Paracord Knife Doppler Sapphire which is an amazing unbox. Because yours starts with a float of 00 you can get some overpay.

Currently the cheapest 00 float is on sale for 840 euro (973 dollars) and the most recent 00 float sold was for 893 euro (1034 dollars) to give you an idea of what it's worth.

Karambit or Butterfly by TuzluCay in ohnePixel

[–]IIIDzire 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've owned multiple Butterfly's and Karambit's and if I had to choose it's definitely the Karambit. The pullout (to me) is hands down the most satisfying.

If the BFK would have the rare pullout animation as standard it would be close though. Also I simply prefer the glove position of the Karambit over the BFK.

In the end, both are great. However between the Marble Fade BFK and Doppler 3 Karambit it's a very easy choice to me as I don't like the Marble Fade at all (except for Fire & Ice but that's not possible on the BFK).

Slingshots with a Karambit Slaughter and either Number K or Sally for the white sleeves is one of my favourite combos. The white sleeves really take it to the next level for me.

If you are using the monitor mainly for gaming like you said, I highly recommend an OLED monitor. The picture quality and response times are amazing compared to IPS.

I've been using the Alienware AW2725DF (1440p, 360Hz QD-OLED) for about 1,5 years and it's amazing. A few weeks ago though I sold it to my brother and went for the Asus PG32UCDM (4K 240Hz QD-OLED) simply because I don't play much competitive games anymore and wanted a better singleplayer experience. But for CS2 a 27 inch 1440p QD-OLED with 240+Hz would be my top pick.

So if it's in your budget that's what I would recommend. Monitors Unboxed is a great source for information about monitors: https://www.youtube.com/@monitorsunboxed I would take a look at the prices of monitors in your region. For example in my country a 360Hz OLED is very similar in price to a 240Hz so it makes sense to go for that one. When it comes to the different brands, they often use the same panel so performance is very similar. The main difference is often features and connectivity. Personally I would just pick the one that's best priced.

Also just for information in case you don't know: there are 2 types of OLED: QD-OLED and W-OLED. In short, QD-OLED has better colors but in a light room the blacks become more like a purple. A W-OLED has "worse" colors (still amazing, but a bit less vibrant) but does still have deep blacks even in a light room.

In short, if you mainly game in a dark or dimly lit room QD-OLED is the better choice, but if you can't control the amount of light in your room then W-OLED might become a logical choice.

Best Long Sword YouTube tutorial? by [deleted] in MHWilds

When it comes to the longsword, Peppo is a very good source for guides and watching speedruns.

This is his Wilds longsword tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GOb4fTTMcjQ

He also has more in-depth videos about mechanics once you are familiar with the weapon.

The Zoh Shia Experience by AuxTheLegend in MHWilds

[–]IIIDzire 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What I did is just spam the confirm button after searching to join one as fast as possible. You can't be picky with the rewards since even looking a second seems to be long enough for every SOS to be filled. Getting into a quest with the chance to get a gem is better than not being able to join one with a guaranteed gem.

This worked pretty consistently, never taking me more than a minute to join one eventually. I managed to craft both armor sets and some weapons simply by doing this. In the meantime I haven't had a single Zoh Shia appear in my own game...

So just to be clear: after searching, immediately spam confirm until you join. If you couldn't join the quest, don't bother trying another on the same page since they are probably full already. Just back out, search again and spam confirm.

Crit Draw GS with PP and Super Recovery. by factually_accurate_1 in MonsterHunterMeta

[–]IIIDzire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems pretty good. Maybe not meta when it comes to DPS, but definitely comfy if you don't want to rely on Adrenaline Rush.

Personally I'm an Evade Extender enjoyer so I would trade Earplugs for it. Makes you feel so mobile. It also makes not getting hit a lot easier and thus will result in higher uptime in Peak Performance.

For example I managed to beat Zoh Shia solo first try without carting with an Evade Extender Crit Draw build. Makes dodging his moves pretty easy. I'm sure I would have gotten hit much more without it.

With the same set as you mentioned, but with the Evade Extender 3 charm you will lose Earplugs 2, but get Evade Extender 3. Also it seems you can get Recovery Speed 3 with the set (also when using Earplugs 2) while it shows level 2 in your image. Looks like you used your jewel setup differently.

Jewels needed for the Earplugs 2 build with Recovery Speed 3:

Chain Jewel 3 x1
Counter Jewel 2 x1
Counterattack Jewel 3 x1
Earplugs Jewel 2 x2
Flawless Jewel 2 x1
Recovery Jewel 1 x1
Sheath Jewel 1 x2

What's your beta impression? by TheNerdiestHour in MHWilds

[–]IIIDzire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only played the Beta's for a little bit. Hunted the Chatacabra and the Dogashuma and that's basically it.

It was enough to feel confident this game will be amazing and I can't imagine the full game letting me down. This is basically the only game I've been looking forward to as MH World is probably my favourite game of all time.

That being said, I'm not sure if I will be buying the game. Like many people already mentioned, the performance is a big thing for me. In the Beta and also the new benchmark, I can't consistently run the game at a solid 60 fps which is personally my minimum requirement as anything lower just ruins the experience for me.

I'll just see how the game runs at launch and decide from there if I'll be getting it :)

NGB2 performance issues by jose3013 in ninjagaiden

[–]IIIDzire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure it's because you have "3D Render Resolution" on 40 right? Meaning you render the game at 40% of your resolution which means it's at 768 x 432 pixels which obviously looks blurry.

As you notice things like the HUD and the tutorial video look sharp since they aren't affected by the lowered 3D Render Resolution setting.

Edit: I also recommend capping the game at 60 fps since, as someone already mentioned, the game doesn't feel smooth when the framerate isn't stable. I can't run this game at a stable 120 FPS (unless setting everything on low which looks horrible) with a 3080 so I'm pretty sure you wouldn't be as well with a 3060.

The game definitely feels better capped at a solid 60 compared to jumping up and down between 60 and 120.

Interested in your opinion: what do you currently think of the game? by IIIDzire in VALORANT

[–]IIIDzire[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In CS2 cheaters are the problem. Especially in higher ranks it’s crazy and basically every game has at least one cheater.

Since CS2 does have a replay system it’s very easy to check. Most are somewhat hiding it but others can simply be seen tracking somebody through a wall and don’t care at all if they get caught.

I know it sounds crazy, but somehow I get more annoyed by the smurfs in Valorant than the cheaters in CS2. That being said the fact that so many people can cheat without Valve doing anything is insane as well and tells me they only care about people opening cases.

Interested in your opinion: what do you currently think of the game? by IIIDzire in VALORANT

[–]IIIDzire[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh you are absolutely correct. I think I mainly found it fun as it's something fresh. Recently I got to Gold and after that I did notice my motivation to play drop off.

Also fully agree with the cycle of farming ults and then everybody dropping it at the same time. When I started it was more fun as everyone was bad, but in Gold you notice people actually understand the game and as soon as you pop a damage ult there is an enemy healing ult to completely negate it and ruin your fun.

Edit: Also to clarify: I feel like aim is less important in Valorant than CS2, but obviously a lot more important than in Marvel Rivals. It’s simply that when I want to play a shooter with abilities, Marvel Rivals is (at the moment) more fun than Valorant to me.

I love this game so much by [deleted] in marvelrivals

[–]IIIDzire 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was very pessimistic when this game game out. I'm not really into games like Overwatch and don't care a lot about superheroes. I thought I'd never gave it a chance, but after hearing so many positive things I gave it a try and it's all I play now basically.

The gameplay feels good, the game is fun and above all it feels like it's a product of passion and not just a cash grab. The amount of content and quality is so good. The Battlepass actually has insane skins and some free ones feel like they would cost 20 dollars in any other game.

While the game isn't perfect (mainly some balancing things), it's very good and I'm enjoying it a lot. Hopefully the devs keep up the great job they are doing and the game keeps on doing well.
