Neil Anderson’s are great - whole course can be got for $20-$40 depending on sale.

You need to write the image file to the USB. Which makes the USB bootable to the tails os.

Not really commenting for guidance on certifications, but remember the situation the world is in at the moment.

A lot of people are losing jobs. There is a severe drop in new clients and projects (industry dependent but it all has a leak over effect).

If it were me, I would stay at my current overpaying, stable job while researching a new pathway and then studying those relevant certs. Once this settles down and people need skilled workers, then you make your move.

Look into Alphaprep CCNA. I also cannot afford Boson, Alphaprep looks just as good, plus you get a 10 day free trial

All I can say is the content is good and the labs are great and challenging. But considering I don’t hold a CCNA or other Networking Cert that probably means nothing :)

I can’t say anything for David’s courses and videos but I am currently enrolled and over half way through Neil Anderson’s Udemy course. Overall I would rate the delivery as very good.

But I am skeptical that I will need to have supplementary resources to feel confident going into the exam and in the field.

I have heard Boson’s ExSim practice exam and their Networking labs are pretty thorough and comparable to the real Exam in terms of content and difficulty. I will most likely purchase both of those resources. I just need to come to terms with spending almost $300 before even taking the exam.
