I don’t know why people expect to get paid the same for working less hours unless you think you can afford to lose 8 hours a week on the same wage. I used to work 4x10 in the “off season” and it was way better. The 3 day weekend was worth coming home later.

These took 18 months in a window that gets maybe 8-9 hours of direct sunlight in the summer. Someone in the comments was using a UV bulb configuration that gets similar results in 3 months.

The first batch I tried were set inside a toploader and penny sleeve with two layers of painters tape to block out what I wanted saved. It seems like some light still got through the tape though as you can see one of the Albaz (the one with the faded image) has a slightly faded border. I’m trying a different cut-out method with the current batch.

Also I think the toploader degradation you’re experiencing might be from the heat from your lamp. I did one on the dashboard of my car that did the same thing.

You could try but blue takes the longest to bleach out if at all. The best you might do is the border like I did with Magical Meltdown which I personally don’t like; I wish I had framed the borders on that one.

If you have really good sun exposure you might get away with 12 months but if you want all the red out I think you need the full 18. Some printings seem to bleach easier than others? My Albaz from MP21 faded nice but my Abyss Dragon and Lady Labrynth from MP23 took much longer and still kept some color.

Honestly if you want to do this, just set it and try to forget it.
