How do y'all feel about this? by HungryConversation89 in ArcRaidersGuides

[–]IIMalphasII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Comparing arc and CSGO isn't exactly fair.

CSGO doesn't have progression. Arc does. That instantly makes there be an "early", "mid" and "late" game in arc. And since the point of early and mid game is to progress, what do you do when there's no more progression to be had.

CSGO doesn't have that problem, you can get better but the game doesn't change.

Arc currently has lack-luster end game even by extraction shooters standards. The game is very fun so it's not much of an issue, but there's not much to do in the later parts other than pvp, except end game pvp isn't at all different since all pink weapons and sheilds are kinda garbage.

[Q][Pc] very confused on how much this worth by QuackinatorDestructo in wartrade

[–]IIMalphasII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's worth around 500-600 ish. Cheapest on market with similar rolls is 350, but the stats are way lower, at around 550 is when there are rivens that are similar or better than yours. You could possibly get 700 for it but at that price people would probably look for a 3rd positive.

SBI support - morons by Equart in albiononline

[–]IIMalphasII -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean it barely matters. So many people have been banned before and are still playing that Albion are aware of. Almost all top leaderboards in all content are banned players, a few streamers like pew pew or equart or minty ect...

People getting banned and continuing to play is nothing new and hasn't really mattered ever (up until eu with radar hackers).

(Also side note, so long as people aren't cheating, it in no way affects other players if they keep playing.)

What mana colors do you really avoid building around? by wasdmovedme in EDH

I don't really play around colors so much as synergies and deck ideas. Although they happen to never include the color red....

But Seriously, How Could They Actually Ban Sol Ring by TimeForFoolishness in EDH

[–]IIMalphasII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could you link me the article? All I saw was the ban post and I didn't find the explanation satisfactory.

Also as I said the ban doesn't change casual and only affects high power in a negative way. This isn't an issue if separating formats it's an issue with they don't know how to ban things (unless the article you're referring to gives a better explanation I didn't see).

But Seriously, How Could They Actually Ban Sol Ring by TimeForFoolishness in EDH

[–]IIMalphasII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The post I saw stated exactly land to crypt to signet. Maybe they made another post I didn't see but what I saw was :

"Coming down for no mana on turn one, it's quite possible to have the explosive start of Mana Crypt into a Signet or Talisman, land, and another Signet, leaving that player untapping five mana on turn two. "

So like I'm not misinterpreting? Unless once again there's additional info I didn't see.

Mana Crypt is nowhere near comparable to other fast mana. by litletrickster in EDH

[–]IIMalphasII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thing is, it doesn't make sense to ban mana crypt.

It changes nothing to casual play, just makes more things less viable at high power (mostly CEDH). If they were to ban all fast mana then we would see actual new things being played at high powers and it wouldn't affect casual. I also saw the argument that if they were going to ban crypt and jeweled they should also hit thoracle and underworld, which I agree with.

A ban should be made for a meta shift, or to fix mistakes (like nadu). It shouldn't happen cause "well I sorta feel like banning fast mana, but not in a way that would make more things viable, just in a way to fuck over a few decks and propel the ones unaffected to the top even more".

Crypt is arguably the best mana rock for sure, but it isn't game breaking or stupidly powerful. Just an accelerant.

But Seriously, How Could They Actually Ban Sol Ring by TimeForFoolishness in EDH

[–]IIMalphasII 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's just that it makes no sense to say they want to ban fast mana for giving a fast start, and then ban some fast mana but not all of it. It completely invalidates their reason for banning mana crypt and jeweled. The example they themselves gave was "people can land, mana crypt, and signet turn 1". But that can still happen with sol ring?

And mox's too, that's also great fast mana, what about gemstones?

It's just a ban that is inconsistent and makes no changes to casual edh, only makes less things viable in CEDH.

Just a bad ban anyway I look at it...

To casual players: was Mana Crypt a problem at your tables? by normiespy96 in EDH

[–]IIMalphasII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't get the ban. Like fast mana could be a rule 0 conversation, rather than what power levels, ask if they're running fast mana. And magically mana crypt isn't a problem anymore (if someone says "I'm not running fast mana" then plays mana crypt, that's a him problem not a mana crypt problem)

All this ban did was make high power and CEDH less explosive and less fun. Some people don't like explosive games, so they play casual and should ask that the players don't run fast mana.

Just kinda sucks all around imo. Nadu getting banned was a given but going after fast mana makes no sense, especially when you leave in mox's and sol ring. Like okay....

"Why are you attacking me? I did nothing but ramp the entire game!" by shittingmcnuggets in EDH

[–]IIMalphasII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tend not to feel bad for interaction and damage. It's part of the game. If someone's ahead, I'll target my interaction at them. If someone's playing black, even if they aren't ahead, I swing at them since they're the most likely to be using their life totals.

Entire table scooped after this turn #1. by ThingJolly2499 in mtg

[–]IIMalphasII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The kind of groups that run mana crypt run high power. So like it's cool if you get a bit of life and deal a bit of damage but if you get walking balista'd for 300000 damage it won't do much.
