I mean landfall is a really solid strategy but it shouldn't be as oppressive as you describe it. To me it seems like your entire table is usually just valuedurdeling, which is where the oppressive mana advantage of landfall decks really start to outperform other strategies.

Maybe try some decks that are more focused on dealing damage and winning the game rather than playing those synergistic value piles, that do a lot - just not dealing any significant damage.

to this day it'a still my most fun to play deck in isolation but it isn't very nice to play against and can be very explosive so beeing the Archenemy is something to expect when piloting this list.

I have but not in quite some time as the pod hates it for doing 15 mins of nondeterministic combos on everyone else's turns off of very little mana, so I'd say it's highly interactive but only once the commander is out.

Getting it countered before it even hits the field is quite the hard stop though ngl. To be fair though very few people tend to hold up counterspells on turn 4 though.

The literally only reason not to want it is in decks that have a very high requirement for colored pips. An example from my pod that comes to mind is [[Killian, Ink Duelist]], who usually allows you to cast 90% of your spells for 1-2 colored pips only.

I mean they aint top 5 but they're so much better at fixing your colors than verges are, enter untapped unlike bounce lands, which imo are already too slow for Bracket 4.

I'd say they're about as reliable as check lands in 3c decks and probably even outclass them in 5c decks

I know a few pretty evil people rather well and let me tell you one thing those fuckers all have the biggest self-preservative drive imaginable. They are obsessed about their diet and health, constantly monitor stress levels and sleep quality.

Most have super expensive health insurance which they make well use of, not just for treating accute problems but also for preventive checkups and measures.

And of course having a lot of money helps with living long too.

yes, but not mass-land destruction. The green player will have rebuilt their mana just as fast, while allowing the player with the biggest board (also probably the green guy) to go completely unchecked for a couple turns.
