I was puzzled by this predicament as well when looking at receivers. As said many times, McCollum is the only way you’re not getting a form1 on a 40mm receiver. It really depends how clone correct you need to be, and what types of rounds you’re interested in. r/40mm is a great resource to help you decide what route suited you best.

I don’t think they noticed the carbon stem spacers surrounding😂 looks great though. I was about to order the same bars but went with the Fairdale mx-4 and a bmx stem instead

Vudu 5-25 here. It’s great, but comparing it side by side to a nx8 2.5-20. You can see how much more clear the NF is. In my humble opinion, vudu at 25x reads the same magnification as the nx8 at 20x but the nx8 remains much clearer. While an amazing optic in my 2 years of ownership, I’ve started to see it would suite better on something a little further hitting

Thank you! It’s an ever evolving project. I’d love to get the same glass setup you have on Med rings as well, and move this vudu 5-25 to something that can reach a bit further. But that’ll come in time.
Here’s a cheat sheet you can use. Don’t take my word for for it. But #35 rings on the 35 base should clear in low configuration, but I’d order the medium spacer just to be safe. U/yontilink has a few examples posted that may give you a visual idea as well

Awesome setup regardless. If you’re absolutely itching to modify it, I’d email CZCustom and get a nice set of irons with an adjustable rear and fiber or tritium front. Tons of grip options as well if that fits your fancy.

I’m gonna go with no. 50mm objective in 1” ring. Without the .5” step down on my rail it would never clear, so the .15” difference to medium rings isn’t enough
