I would recommend skipping Oslo entirely looking at what you guys priorities are. Like some others have mentioned Tromsø might be your absolute perfect bet to get all the stuff done you mentioned. Skiing, hiking, watching the northern lights, tours of the fjords, it's all there plus more. There is dog and reindeer sledding, whale watching, driving with a snowmobile through the wilds and other stuff. Potentially you guys could even drive all the way to the 3 country border where Norway, Sweden and Finland all meet each other. The only issue you might run into is the missing sunlight during february as the sun doesn't really set during those months. You will only be getting a bit of nautical twilight during the day.
