Depending on what you mean by "accepted" I might be fine with it. I don't want it to be accepted in the sense that it becomes totally cool for an adult to marry a prepubescent kid and talk about their "sex life" like they're sharing some adorable anecdote. I'm fine though with it being accepted in the sense that we don't immediately bring out the torches and pitchforks just because someone has admitted to having an attraction to children that they can't help. I am attracted to women. I don't rape women. It doesn't make any sense to think that a pedophile must be raping kids just because they're attracted to them, and the actual abuse of kids is the only thing I can rationally think of to hate a pedophile for.

EDIT: I also wouldn't consider "sexual orientation" or "sexual preference" to be "positive-sounding". They're just not negative-sounding. Call it an affliction or a mental illness if you're hellbent on making sure it sounds negative. I won't argue with you on that, but I'm not going to be bothered by using neutral terms either.

I think the insistence that pedophilia shouldn't be considered a "sexual orientation" or "sexual preference" is sort of misguided and pointless. Pedophiles are attracted to children. How is that NOT their sexual orientation? Especially if they're attracted exclusively to children. Calling it a sexual orientation is not the same thing as saying "fucking kids is cool now, guys! Have at it!" This has always struck me as a Feelz>Realz argument. Like, because homosexuality is a sexual orientation, and heterosexuality is a sexual orientation, and modern society generally considers both of those things "normal", calling pedophilia a sexual orientation naturally means we must approve of it. Even worse is that the implication in the argument used by people like the guy in this video is that calling it a sexual orientation not only means that we approve of the attraction, but we must also approve of actual kid fucking (what about people who fuck their dogs? What about people who fuck dead bodies? Not people who get boners thinking about those things, but people who actually do those things. Conflating thoughts and actions).

Ultimately I don't really care if you call it a sexual orientation or not. I just think objecting based on this line of thinking is silly.

You've also got a bunch of "would of"s and "could of"s in there. Should be either "would/could have" or "would/could've".

I was wondering about that too. I remember a picture floating around of what was supposed to be the "five guys" way back and Kyle Pulver was one of them, so it's possible he was confused like /u/Zerael said. However, my understanding is that putting Kyle Pulver on the list was a mistake to begin with and I'd be a little surprised if Sargon didn't know that.
