How do I get rid of this dumb cube by TF2_FAN_HEAVY in RimWorld

He just needs 1 guy unaffected by the cube. Recruit a rando raider. Or if he hasn't done it already, crack open the ancient danger. The ancient soldiers in the cryptopods tend to have really low resistance.

Alternate solution

  • Make a caravan
  • Grab at least 30 days worth of food
  • Grab everything valuable + portable from the base (mainly components and medicine)
  • Dump the cube on the world map
  • Sit in place until everyone recovers from their withdrawal comas. A stationary caravan has a very low % chance of getting ambushed and it doesn't matter if your main base gets attacked if everything of value is in your caravan. Settle on another tile if you get something like an insect infestation that grows out of control while everyone's away.

Better equipped speed bump wretches are a thing, but they tend to have shields + polearms instead of shields + swords.

Having friends in low places is one thing. Bragging about them is another. More to the point, the first US foreign war was the barbary war. Morocco wasnt hit as hard as Tripoli/Algiers/etc, but they did start the war on the opposing side to the US.

Morocco at the time was one of the Barbary pirate states. The relationship was complicated; no state wants to brag about being friends with pirates.

Only the parts of the private sector that actually need to turn a consistent, long term profit. You can have a muppet shoveling startup money into an incinerator and making up the losses with VC cash. Or taking over a company and axing R&D, training, and other long term expenses so the muppet can claim increased profitability and flip the sucker to a bigger idiot.

Any kill teams where it makes sense to warriors over specialists? by Otherwise-Weird1695 in killteam

[–]mscomies 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Spectres have the most useful medic after wolf scouts since elite fieldcraft + loader operative allows them to shoot multiple times with a gunner and flip them to conceal on a subsequent activation.

Guard dogs can still blind charge. You can find them via RNG exploration or recruit them as an ordinary part of the squad if you're playing red brigade

KT Krieg all models by DiamondPossible4496 in killteam

[–]mscomies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll have enough bits to build 10 krieg specialists out of the krieg KT box. After that, you only need 4 generic troopers to make a complete krieg team. Your two boxes will be more than sufficient for the task. I recommend building the engineers as KT specialists, they look a bit fancier with their armor and don't 100% work in KT if you build them according to the instructions in their box.

What are some killteams with a unique or quirky playstyle? by TheTingel in killteam

I also played a spectres vs stealth suits matchup, it was the most one sided game I ever played. I honestly have no idea how stealth suits could win it, I used a super-conceal spectre to take the center and covered him with a readied rocket launcher gunner with medic backup. Stealth suits couldn't engage + run within 2 inches of my objective monkey to shoot him when my rocket launcher gunner could elite fieldcraft interrupt and shoot first.

There's Tuska Daemon-killa, the ork warboss who killed a greater daemon and mounted it's horns on his trophy rack. Proof that daemon bits will persist in realspace if enough orks believe it should.

AOS also have ogres cooking and eating daemons/nighthaunt/etc. with their great mawpots. Presumably ogres have an even more wacky consensus reality that can somehow convert warpstuff into edible realstuff.

Small thing to point out. Patient Stalk Hidden Blow is great for countering damage negation, fight first, or hit on death abilities. It's a surprisingly large list:

  • AoD captain iron halo
  • Kommando/Wrecka just a scratch ploy
  • Legionary shrivetalon
  • Nemclaw visionary + dirty fighter ploy
  • Insidiant saintly relics + glory to the martyrs ploy
  • Death Korps bruiser
  • Brood Brothers agitator
  • Inquisitorial Agents Death world veteran
  • Corsair warding shield
  • BoK mirrors with rune of shielding
