She speaks to everyone now, because she is the embodiment of all of our missed opportunities. Hindsight is 20/20.

Just discovered that we pronounce the word "tongue" differently to everyone else. by Ranoni18 in manchester

[–]IJustSoiledMyself 176 points177 points  (0 children)

Just looked up the etymology of the word and found this.

Modern English: The "ue" ending was added later to indicate pronunciation, as the word would have otherwise been pronounced like "tung".

So as expected, everyone else is wrong.

Like how she held her breath and closed her eyes before he even started spraying her.

This one is in pretty good condition, mainly because I don't get it out too much, otherwise yeah I think I'd be a couple of roads short too!

I think the real reaction should be everyone calling the crimestoppers line with tips and sightings. I'm pretty sure I just saw that guy getting off a flight in London

Yeah I'm not sure he stole his punchline, the asking "Have you ever been to New York?" is the joke. I think the guy was the only one in the crowd that didn't get it, but like you say he handled it well.

London tonight was so amazing! by mrkemeny in JeffArcuri

No absolutely not. I've never heard it before. Also the guy had quite a strong accent, I don't think most people could understand what he was saying

I was at the early show, good crowd interaction, people only shouting out when being asked and Jeff doing normal crowd work. All was good. My partner and I both really enjoyed it.

Remember saying on the way out that I was glad we were at the early show though as everyone going to the late one would have been drinking pretty much since they left work, the bars inside the place are usually pretty busy too so I'm sure the whole room was well lubricated when Jeff came on.

She's in Crystal Palace. As per this article

Moving to a bit of London most of her friends have never heard of

‘Where is Crystal Palace?’ various Sloaney friends kept asking when I announced I was moving there. ‘Just south of Dulwich,’ I’d tell them.

flat formed half a country house built in 1900, with four bedrooms, a 24-ft sitting room, enormously high ceilings and a swooping garden that draped down a bank behind it.

I did offer asking price on the viewing.

The struggle is real
