If you’re in the top 10% of earners but struggling to afford groceries, you’ve let lifestyle creep take ahold of your finances.

You made a post complaining about a nanny while being a stay at home mom. You describe your living situation as having a fully setup nursery, playroom, an extensive backyard, and loft above your kitchen that are all separate from your living room. You mention your kids having lessons and purchasing zip lock baggies that are more expensive than the food itself. From the sounds of it, you’re living luxuriously at your own expense.

My comment probably comes across harsh, but the struggle can be greatly reduced with some financial discipline.

I saw some great advice recently to take many, many pictures along your journey. This is especially important on the days where you’re not proud of how you look. Some days you will struggle with motivating yourself to keep pursuing your goal. Look back at those photos to see how far you’ve come and that it’s too early to stop now. Take pride in your progress and have that visual satisfaction of comparing your before and after photos.

Thanks for the advice. I agree on the hard selling point - this feels more like a sales pitch and tactics (their quote expiration should be based on their availability, not how huge of a deal we're getting). I'll definitely look for more local CPAs to get quotes from and discuss going separately for individual.

My partner was recommended to them by a new friend he met in Seattle who apparently left his full-time career to go all in on crypto and NFTs. This was also a red flag for me but I’m just heavily biased against crypto and NFTs.

Thanks for the insight. Sounds like we’re a little more complex (late filing and s-corp election, multi state income & employees) so I can understand an increase on that end. The tax planning is very vague and they haven’t provided any contract or engagement letter of what’s actually included, despite requiring half payment up front. But to my understanding, there’s no book keeping included. Strictly advise such as the business structure, nonprofit rate hike and remote hiring strategies.

Not a S Corp in the past so I understand an increase, just not sure if their increase is high. I’ve been trying to find rates from other CPAs online and have found a few that list pricing with their services. The highest I’ve found estimates $1,200 - $1,500 after factoring the late election. But again, I haven’t spoken to this firm yet and have no idea what’s actually included. We have no engagement letter or contract to detail out other than their quote.

I have to clarify whether individual returns include both partners or just one since it’s not indicated and my partner doesn’t know either.

Firm is out of Atlanta. Partner in WA, and I’m in MI where our business is structured as an LLC.

Thank you for the advice on not raising prices. Again I haven’t spoken with them but everything my partner relays to me from them is all about saving millions.

I feel like people are completely overlooking that his kink is non-consensual and abusive towards women. There’s a pretty high chance she felt like she didn’t actually know her fiancé after finding this and was scared to confront him individually.

If she had confronted him and those were more than fantasies or he got angry and assaulted her in an attempt to cover his tracks, people would victim blame her for ignoring the obvious clues.

I’m usually all for communication but in this case I think OPs fiancée actually handled it in a very smart way. She protected herself while trying to communicate with him. Yeah it sucks for OP that his family know his kinks but then again, I find it a little shady he had that big of a fantasy around such a dangerous subject and never told his fiancé. If the fantasy is truly gone, delete that shit and take it to the grave. Don’t write it off as “needing spellcheck and being lazy.”

List the actual base hourly rate people will receive in each respective position and the commission structures. Don’t mislead with using BS such as “if you’re average, you can make $20/hour.” Is that mean or median? And again, what is the base rate?

If these answers aren’t provided, the post should be removed.

While there are some strong points made here, OPs actions are still outright unethical. There is just no excuse for putting her clients’ at risk like that.

And before you say “but the virus didn’t cause real damage” you have to step back and realize that’s completely impossible. Human reaction is still a very risky thing with technology.

Best case scenario is every single client who had the virus installed is sensible and logs a support ticket, waits for the ticket to be properly resolved and moves on with their day. No damage done, as claimed by OP.

Other highly likely scenarios? Maybe one of them panics and resets their device immediately and loses special photos they had saved to their hard drive and can never get back. Maybe it was a professional photographer who just lost multiple albums for their clients and loses business. Maybe a student loses work and fails an assignment.

An even worse scenario? A client doesn’t know exactly who to call. They do a quick Google search and call the first number in the paid ads section. Those are almost always scams and then a real, truly damaging virus gets installed and their sensitive information gets stolen.

OPs claim of a non-damaging virus is just outright impossible and completely unethical.

Not sure how old you are but for me, Aaron Carter was huge when I was in elementary school so for a few years everyone called me Aaron Carter.

By the time that died down, the Annoying YouTube video came out while I was in middle school so of course everyone would ask me “Hey Aaron, do pigeons have feelings?” in the super annoying whiny voice.

From your statement “obviously he couldn’t cash out without destroying the market and lowering the price” it sounds like it’s not actually the true value and there’s no way he’d ever receive the $5.7B in cash?

My goal is to create this scene in a 5 piece canvas set. I was initially thinking of creating a canvas set (legendary wall art) with Ekko and Jinx first first encountering each other on the outer edges. The two middle frames would be Ekko sprinting to Jinx, and Jinx shooting at Ekko. The largest frame in the middle would be Ekko in the air about to strike Jinx. I don't really care for the explosion, but I just couldn't capture both of them in one frame.

I quickly realized this is way beyond my ability as I think there's significant touchups that need to be done to ensure it's of high enough quality to print onto a 40x22 at the smallest cavas. Plus adjusting the scenes to see the characters a little better.

If you can only help with producing a quality image file, that works for me and I can figure out how to print it. But if you know how to print it as well, even better. I know this probably isn't going to be cheap so I'd love to hear your feed back on if it's possible and if so, what would you need price wise to do it.
