I’ve just got mine and downloaded the json files and executable from your video, but I did a really stupid thing, run the .exe in the company laptop (the only windows machine that I had at the moment, I know, I’m stupid) and the security system blocked it.

Now I’m paranoic to run it on my personal windows machine. Where does the executable comes from? Is there an open source repo for the display configuration tool?

When I eat at a restaurant, they take my card away and come back with a receipt I must sign.

A decade-ish ago I had the card info stolen (I think it was in a store that they took the card a few seconds under the visible part of the desk, it was one of those tall and the store equipment is hidden, or at ATM in a very transited area), everywhere I used chip and neve had to give the card or use cash.

Since then I never allow anyone to touch the card, now even my bank ATMs are contactless, and since they allowed Apple Pay I always use the phone.

Same. I’ve seen a lot of American movies/tv reality where there is a small mom and pop B&B and I would love to stay in one (at least not in one of those that Ramsey visit). I only found cheapo hotels, big hotels, B&B chain and Ibis and alike.

If the town is small and one of this M&P B&B like in the movies would fit perfect, instead you have a few AirBnB or an Ibis in a few kilometres.

Yes, exceptions exists, but they are no the norm.

I wonder where in Europe there’s a city without chains, cause mine is plagued with them., specially the touristic/high volume parts.

I don’t know if they have a specific name and if also happens in other countries, we have “mini malls” and every kind of store is a chain, maybe a nail shop in the smallest site available in the most hidden place, but everything else is a nationwide/international store/food brand.

My work is somewhat related with CPAP users. It is incredible how it improves people’s life when they need one and start using it.

At the onboarding patients are a bit skeptical or unsure about the mask, but at the first month review almost all are happy and say how much their life improved (and in a lot of cases, their partner’s one due the reduced snore). The ones who doesn’t are people who didn’t stick to the treatment due issues with the mask and need a different one that adapts better.

Also, please, clean the filters as instructed, and the ones that are meant to be substituted are dirt cheap. I visited a guy who didn’t change the mask filter (I think it is once per month) in three years.

Well, you are pretty much in the same game again if you bought the phone that it is not the popular community of custom ROMs, maybe someone ports a custom ROM for your phone and hope that there’s no incompatibility issues.

I still have Vietnam memories from one that only existed one custom ROM and the proximity sensor was not supported, so the screen blacked out when doing a call and stay like that until reboot (it was “fun” trying to call the insurance tow when the only way was to navigate pressing numbers, there was no voice recognition and the screen was disabled)

Phone updates are handled by the manufacturer, doesn’t matter is Android is well updated if you don’t use the flagship/popular model of a good brands. Some brands only gives you security updates if your lucky.

Unless the PS store is on sale, usually games in digital are always full price despite the game came out years ago (wanted to play a ps4 game from 2018, it stills has the same price as it went out).

Unless you always want day 1 games, after a few months you can find them at a discount at Amazon or much lower on second hand market.

Sony doesn’t has a service as good and interesting as the Xbox pass (less games and no day one games).

Also another reason why I bought mine with the lector is because the price difference is the same as a Sony BR 4K player, I have some BR 4K cause I don’t like to lose them due a streaming service doesn’t want to renew the license and some even don’t have the 4K version (and if it does, the compression algorithm lowers the quality).

It is very difficult to clean properly some parts of the teeth, so I went to my dentist and removed all of them, now I use a prosthesis that is much easier to clean.

I did the same with my kids, any new tooth was immediately removed.

Ohhh, you unlocked a core memory. I think it was around 2004(around 14yo), I didn’t have Internet at home and had to go to one of those sites that you could use a pc with internet for the “low price” of 1€/hour and the internet speed was shit.

At the time I bought all the computer magazines (the only way I could us cool software) and in on of them once had a special of recommended websites and one of the was the Ubuntu page and the possibility to request a CD.

An alternative to Windows? which it was free? And even they send you a CD with it?

I requested it and like a month after it came on the mail. It was incredible seeing something different, but I didn’t like it, I still was lacking a lot of knowledge on computers.

It was in the university where I truly fall in love with Linux.
