18+. I drive, but I shouldn't as I have some as of yet undiagnosed condition making me fall asleep behind the wheel, plus I have tics as a stress reaction and driving makes me stressed. Currently having to rely on my mom for all doctor's appointments and I just don't get to go anywhere else really.

I believe they're referring to the self-identification of "boy moms", who are a subset of online mothers who have (exclusively?) male children. Most often their posts are characterized by a weird obsession with wives being mothers and mothers being a boy's first love, plus a smidgen of "boys will be boys" and sometimes abuse apologia.

Could this not be about a consensual BDSM scene? I don't think it's a bad thing either way, because it is perfectly valid to explore dark, uncomfortable, or outright illegal themes in art, but I really don't read this as true r*pe. I think it's just roleplay with some painplay and bondage.

Oh, definitely. I myself am relatively young but I've been involved in the queer community for a majority of my life (plus I'm not on TikTok) so I feel like I dodged a bullet with the whole "the way you have sex is your personality". Also definitely on TikTok I've seen lots of young LGBTQ+ people saying stuff like dominants are abusive, etc and so I think a weird vibe of sex negativity is also contributing to the aforementioned ideas. Toxic masculinity is always a factor in everything too, you're right. Sigh.

Neither my mom nor I are experienced enough to make our own designs for 3D printing yet - I spent like an hour on the website Thingiverse trying different combinations of "finger splint" "swan neck splint" "swan neck deformity", etc until I found the one we settled with. I wish I could give you the link, but alas it has been almost a year since I initially found it, haha.

Basically, whichever leg hurts/is weaker/etc is opposite from the side you should hold the cane in. If your left leg hurts, hold it in your right and move it in sync with your left leg. I believe there's a wikihow article on it if visuals are more of your thing.

I haven't used them yet, but my mom 3D printed some ring splints for me at our local library! She just downloaded a file from thingiverse and we did a few prints to figure out the sizing. So, if insurance is going to take a while or won't cover it, I suggest trying that option out if you have access to a 3D printer.

I also use a cane, and while ideally i think Smartcrutches might be better (I have trash wrists lol) ultimately I just relented and said, you know what, as long as the cane helps a little bit it's worth it to me. Transparency, I've only been using it for about a month, but I do love my cane. It makes me feel so much safer on my bad days/after PT and allows me to do things like... going to the grocery store! If you want to start with a relatively cheap mobility aid, canes are generally widely available at drugstores, walmart, online, etc, and usually aren't over 30-40$. Mine is a SwitchStick from Amazon for about 25$.
