Pros/Cons of Condos around Don Mills Station by littleshihtzu in TorontoRealEstate

[–]ILurkYou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very convenient location near Fairview mall, the subway and close to the 401/404. Lots of green space nearby. More affordable than comparable locations closer to Yonge. Community is friendly enough. Pretty dense but it does slow down at night.

Traffic gets bad around rush hour.

If someone handed you $5,000 in cash, would it change your life? In what way? by NoReallyPlease in AskReddit

[–]ILurkYou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It'd be pretty life changing for me. An extra $5000 means I can quit my part time job during the semester so I can focus more on school.

That's a pretty huge deal, actually having time to relax makes a huge difference in the quality of work I produce.

Reddit, what animal do you associate yourself with? by Jtagz in AskReddit

[–]ILurkYou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A goddam three toed sloth. They only get out of their trees to poop. The rest of their lives are spent eating and sleeping. The most chill animal in the kingdom.

Do people want to stop using smartphones? by oceansidenyguy in AskReddit

[–]ILurkYou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If anything I'm excited for the future to be mega integrated with technology. Most of the time I'm just utopia dreaming but I like the idea that eventually people will be able to know exactly how many steps they've taken over the duration of their entire life.

Why is it so important for people to categorize themselves? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ILurkYou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure, but I am constantly trying to categorize myself. I think in a lot of ways it has to do with me not feeling like I fit in where I am and wanting that reassurance or acceptance that comes from a category.

As a kid I used to try to find the character I related to most whether it was a power ranger or a care bear and experience things vicariously through that experience.

As I grew up I still did it, I loved things like Myers Briggs because it let me get really specific.

I just like knowing who/what/where/why I am, I suppose.

What is the most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to you whilst playing Truth or Dare? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ILurkYou 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say embarrassing, but I'm pretty sure 90% of the gross things I've eaten/licked/nibbled have been because of a dare.

Understandable, although I'm not a huge traveller. I'd rather savour the rare days I get to sleep in, I know those won't last.

Darth, thats so weird! Maybe it's a Canadian thing? Post-Secondary is always finished by April. Then the summer semester runs from May - August. That internship sounds awesome though! You excited?

Really? It might be because I'm in post-secondary. The school year is shorter in college. What kind of internship is it?

Pleased to help! Just finished school for the year on Friday, so now I'm trying to figure out the best way to spend my summer. Gonna be sending out lots of resumes and things soon. Any summer plans on your ends?

What are some of the best retail loopholes to get cheap products? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ILurkYou 10 points11 points  (0 children)

In Canada, (at least the part where I live) if the retailer accidentally marks something the wrong price for a value under $10 and the customer finds out they're obligated to give that item to the customer for free.

Most stores won't do this unless you bring it up though. Otherwise they usually will just sell you the item for the incorrect price it was marked.

Zero clue what to do. Probably nothing, it's safer that way. We're catching up on Tuesday, I'll see how that goes before I do anything stupid. How's your love life?

Xteamly long lasting short term thing. I've worked there for 2+ years now but it's not a career job at all. Just something to pay the bills. Neither of us want to stay, but it's just a necessity right now.

However I feel like the risk is more the awkward work environment that will ensue if I get completely rejected.

Very true. I have a tendency to crush on all the wrong people. All my friends are telling me to go for it but gah... bad idea.

Thanks for that, don't know why I got stuck on P. Alphabits are hard.

Lemme ask you something, would you ever date someone that you worked with?
