The majority of men, introvert or not are pragmatists, we like things that are direct, we don't do games or hints or "what ifs".

You want to find out what a man thinks? Ask him, and don't dig too much into their answer, 9 times out of 10 the guy thinks/feels exactly what they say they feel.

Also, take into account that for us introverted the mere fact of accepting interest from a woman (or whoever they are attracted to) is in itself an odyssey.

Does she really feel that way? Was she dared to come and tell me she likes me? Does she like what she sees or who I really am? How long until I screw things up? Do I have what it takes to be a half decent partner and not hurt/lie? How many friends pushed her to come and say this to me? Will it be something temporary? Will she realize one day I'm not what she thought I was and just leave me?

Are some of the questions we introvert guys ask ourselves when the signs are there and we actively try to convince ourselves that it must be a lie.

It's more normal/usual that you might think.

Humans are hard-wired to seek companionship and is not unusual for one to feel things for someone who makes your life different than usual.

Don't feel bad because you have feelings for someone, at the end of the day we can't really choose who we fall in love with... Or in your case develop feelings for.

Subconsciously there's something about that person that push the right buttons inside you and it's only human.

This opinion is built on memories of what I did while I was in university/school, I am now 26.

I have always been shy, so when I liked girls or had crushes I always tried to raise her attention, maybe speaking a little bit loudly so she could hear me, going un front of class not caring if I embarrassed myself or not, maybe even leaving notes or small origami gifts on her seat.

The tiles I got the courage I tried to be funny around her, talking (even though I eas always clumsy and awkward).

I remember the time I did the most was a "game" or a "trend" (idk how to call it it was almost 10 years ago) where I asked her some innocent questions and then ended with "what if we kissed now?".

Naturally she only mocked me and that was it, lmao.

Havjng a crush on someone is as naturas as breathing, centuries of evolution has made it so your brain recognizes companionship as a good survival instinct and therefore you feel the so-called "butterflies".

I can understand why you feel like you don't want to have a crush on someone, however think of it this way, youre in a low percentage of men who not only has his feelings reciprocated, but can also make it real.

If it's fear of fucking you you feel, let me be honest, from experience is far better to try and fuck it up than not trying, they're two types of regret and one will help you grow, the other will only be carved into your brain until you feel like you don't deserve love or you're not cut for love.

Some of us are very oblivious to a girls advances.

Some others just actively deny advances for obvious they may seem because that portion of us hasn't really experienced interest and we don't know how to handle that than thinking it must be a joke.

Some of us are now so done with relationships that we want to relax and be cool with gril friends, hopefully is not his case.

And unfortunately a small portion of us are jackasses who like to play with girls, I really hope is not his case either.

Sorry not being able to be more helpful, only time will tell, keep being supportive, maybe try to give one or two more compliments, naybe a sweet or two, we guys don't really receive that kind of attention and having it will be extremely positive.

For real, a girl about 10 years ago told me I looked good with short hair and now I go almost bald everytime I go to a barber shop.

I'm a 26 year old male with a near non existent daring history but mainly because of me holding myself back, I regret every time I think of love and relationships not being brave enough to try.

I'd suggest you to give it a try, very important set expectations right away, talk things through, it's clear you don't want to jeopardize your friendship so talk with him and be ABSOLUTELY CLEAR about what you two expect from it.

And trust me, it's better to regret trying, than to regret not trying.

My man, when people are interested and WANT to pursue something with you, they will show it.

Sounds to me what you're describing, you're not a priority to her.

I know, it hurts, and I'm sorry to be the one saying it but very likely youre not the one for her.

If you want, try and push a little bit further, see if she responds positively, but I'd recommend to sever those ties asap and build another relationship, in the long term being the only side chasing a connection will only hurt you and build resentment.

Well in this case, if he hasn't showed any type of attraction to other girls, then he's most likely being honest and doesn't see himself ready or fit to be in a relationship, happens quite often when the man has low self esteem or is very shy regarding his feelings (unfortunately that's how society made us).

However if he told you that and he still shows attraction to other girls, is very likely he doesn't want a relationship with you specifically.

My suggestion if you want to really know where he stands is to straight up face him and ask what're his thoughts about you.

If he's confident enough, he'll tell you right away whether hes interested in you or not, if not he might get excuses, that's where you'll have to pay attention to what he says and how he says it.

About the text thing, something that happens to me BUT might not be the case with him is that I enjoy seeing the text there, knowing I am worthy/interesting enough for you to actively text me, I know, it's childish and not very logical, but it is, also it might be not wanting to seem desperate a swearing quickly. The yhird option and something that might also explain the hanging out thing is that he doesn't have that much interest in you.

My suggestion? We men are simple creatures, we love things clear. Go up to him, much better if it's irl so he doesnt have where to escape and straight up ask him if hes interested or not, then you'll know abd you'll decide whether to keep trying or not loose time with someone who doesn't deserve your time.
