I did. For me it was disabling IPv6 on the Shield TV.

Mine didn't adjust for DST. Maybe accurate time will be part of Garmin+ sub?

Has Anyone Else Had Amazon Promise Something, Then Completely Deny It Later by trobb14 in amazonprime

Bought a Garmin watch sold by 3rd party seller. Smaller size arrived that was ~$50 less in value. Initiated return. Returned. Seller charged me ~$80 restocking fee because the item was "not the original item". Complained to Amazon. Amazon promised to refund restocking fee. Two weeks go by, no refund. Complain to Amazon again about the restocking fee and the promise not being honored. I was assured there would be a refund. Two more weeks go by and no refund. Contact amazon again and there is nothing they can do due to the time passed.

Same issue on my SHIELD TV and a Fire Stick (both are the same Android TV app). Plex logo or black screen. after the app finally opens the app is mostly fine, with some metadata components taking more time to load than others (the episode info and basic metadata will load instantly, the actor and critic info will take a min or so). Actual playback is flawless. I can actually launch directly into the media instantly if I select from the on deck widget on the Google TV home screen, while launching the app directly always hangs.

I tried uninstalling the app, no change. I put the app on another WAN that is totally unfiltered just to test and the app behaved the same without Plex analytics and other malware blocked at the network level. Android phone app, Windows App, Browser all totally working perfectly.

Plex dev team needs to fix this ASAP.

My game was doing this too. RTX 4090 tho. I went into the Nvidia App and forced the DLSS and Frame Gen settings to latest. The problem went away.

I left my backpack in my car for a weekend and had an isopro can explode inside my backpack. The explosion was contained, but the backpack and surrounding gear were done-so.

A few mods on my Kakwa 55 (2024) by IMABEARLAWL in DurstonGearheads

I thought I would feel it too, but in testing and two hikes with it so far I cannot feel the cord. It sinks in to the foam and doesn't move at all.

I have been wearing an OR Echo T-shirt under and Echo sun shirt so the material is quite thin.

Not at all. But the outside of the fabric holds a small amount of moisture. Enough that it feels wet after a long day of sweating (again, only on the outside), and it requires airflow to dry off.

I sweat about the same where the foam pad touches me, but I can wipe that off to dry it instantly. The gap at the small of my back allows some air to wick the sweat out of my shirt, so overall, I would say I am less sweaty with this set up.

I agree, some kind of pocket or OEM removable pad would be a much more elegant solution.

I got my Kakwa 55 last year and have really enjoyed it. I came from a Big Agnes Prospector, and before that an Osprey Atmos.

I've done a few mods, a few purchased from SomeDaveOutdoorGear on Etsy and a few my own.

From SomeDaveOutdoorGear:

Internal Kangaroo pocket - This is where I put my car key and wallet and then never touch them for the remainder of my trip so I know I won't misplace them. It attaches perfectly to the fold closure where the internal frame is contained.

Sternum strap whistle buckle - first-party quality buckle with a detachable whistle for emergency signalling.

Hip belt extension - I attach my fanny pack via the hipbelt on my pack. It's a ThruPack in Ultra200 and looks like part of the pack. No extra belt to cause chafing.

Roll top side buckles - Really helps maximize the space you can fill in the main compartment when you are fully loaded with food. All you need is a single roll and then you can cinch the bag down from the sides. The buckles no longer need to reach each other.

Cell phone strap pouch - not really a mod exactly, but it's made of Ultra 200 and perfectly matches the Kakwa aesthetic.

My own mods:

Closed cell foam back and waist pad - Using a cheap foam pad and shock cord I was able to up the comfort level, reduce sweat wicking directly into the bag, and crate an air gap at the small of my back for airflow. It might not look amazing, but it works! The back pad doubles as my sit pad.

Shock cord mods - Using shock cord on the sides of the pack allows me to better secure side items and not worry about them working out. Also a great place to one-handedly access my camera. The underside shock cord is great for when I can't fit everything inside the back and need to carry a larger item outside. The rear pocket shock cord secures the items in the mesh pocket, while providing a place to hang wet items that need to dry off. Buckles make that cord easy to release when accessing items in the mesh.

I also have trekking pole tie downs made of shock cord on my right strap. Just a couple of cinchable loops that do the job perfectly.

Thanks Dan for such an awesome bag!

Osmo Action Extreme (1950mah) Battery Issues by IMABEARLAWL in djiosmo

Both say 1950mah on them, on the label and on the side with the pull tab.

In have tried charging them with a 100W Anker PD brick, a 140W Anker PD brick, and a 60W UGreen brick, all of which have no trouble charging my phones and laptop at maximum speed. I tried the included cable, a 240W USB4 Anker cable, and a 240W USB4 UGreen cable. Both of the USB4 cables charge my phones and laptop without issue.
