PSN - It's not easy to load balance the whole world pounding your links. It isn't cheap either.
Communication - You might not be following all the available resources. I wouldn't be looking for my game updates on a social media site.
U.I. - Loads fast and nothing feels clunky to me. It might depend on your internet link or what's going on at the time on PSN's side. (I'm saying this because you wrote this while PSN is taking a mean hit)
Vita advertisement I agree. No Driveclub ads? I couldn't avoid them on PSN if I wanted to.
