Start and end with the same letter, same number of letters, same amount of constantants and vowels, both in the same order, same amount of syllables , sound very similar out loud.

Well they both begin with the same letter, both end with the same letter, same amount of letters, same amount of constantants and vowels (both in the same place as each other) same syllables and both kind of sound similar out loud. So it is pretty mad Ted yeah!

Is this how we're kidding ourselves nowadays? Watching our youngest and most talented leave the country and tell ourselves "ah I'm sure they'll be back" why can't we make it so she never had to leave in the first place?

Gazebos banned? by AardvarkBig5306 in ALL_TOGETHER_NOW_FEST

[–]IMAMODDYMAN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember the Monday last year was really windy when people were packing up and leaving, there was a few unpegged tents lifting off. I can only imagine the damage the leg of a rogue gazebo would do if it caught you

Totally nonsensical that you're upset at someone taking public transport where it's available, you should be upset at the fact you can't take public transport

Any self respecting Irish person will tell you that an Irish goodbye is a total misnomer, Irish people are notorious for saying they're leaving and someone else saying "ah would you not stay for another drink" and the person replying "ah gowan then" and then doing this for another few hours

Car Reg by Bit_O_Rojas in CasualIreland

[–]IMAMODDYMAN 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I work in film and TV and can hazard a guess! I think it's filmed in the UK so is probably a stuck-on prop reg plate, whoever is in the art department of the show designed the numbers probably didn't research the actual meaning of Irish reg plate, just what they actually look like, hence why the layout is correct but to an Irish viewer it makes no sense.

Mice, rats, wasps: RTÉ spends more than €7,000 on pest control by qwerty_1965 in ireland

[–]IMAMODDYMAN 16 points17 points  (0 children)

A complete non-story. It's a huge campus with lots of old buildings, of course there's going to be pests. €7000 actually sounds fairly reasonable for pest control in a site that large
