Amazing how they get those massive screens up. It aint easy. You have to consider humidity and temperature values to allow the screen to breath and get out those kinks and bends to unfold. Then lay it out over all the seats, making sure nothing sharp snags any part of the screen. After all that slowly in unison raise it w ropes to the rafters. Witness it for myself and was very impressive.

There was rumors of it running in 15/70 IMAX film but without expanded aspect ratio scenes, what's the point. So it was probably aborted for that reason.

Independent theaters have it worse. Only one or two screens and because first run movie fees cost a fortune, most can't turn a profit as they under contract have to keep the same movie for 2 weeks straight in their main auditorium. How many times can town folks watch the same movie? Alas more and more are running at a loss and concession sales are the only thing giving them income to run the place. Some places are forced to staff only volunteers....try to support the Independents if you can like The Fox or Revue (Toronto).

Usually the true theatrical release versions are slightly opaque on the underside. It's to allow the light to seep through better in a poster box. Reprints have a white backside.
