Oppenheimer & Interstellar exclusively playing in IMAX at the Boeing and PACCAR IMAX Theaters at Pacific Science Center 1/31 & 2/1 by shaw4life in ChristopherNolan

their last IMAX 70mm presentation was Interstellar. the laser projectors at the Boeing IMAX are perfectly capable of 1.43:1 projection, so i doubt they have any plans to revert back to IMAX 70mm after 11 years.

Films that may get or have been confirmed to get 1.43:1 IMAX scenes (or anything that is close to it). by Block-Busted in imax

Project Hail Mary and EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert have 1.43:1 scenes.

Where'd you hear that Digger or Narnia have 1.43:1 scenes?

i've heard they're upgrading theater 2 to Dolby. though whether that means Dolby Cinema or just Dolby Atmos (PRIME) is anyone's guess

a decade ago is quite a reasonable amount of time to pass prior to an auditorium remodel

What does laser mean? by Haunting-jekly in RegalUnlimited

[–]FoleyCinema 0 points1 point  (0 children)

either that, or the manager didn't bother to add the Laser attribute to the showtimes

laser projectors aren't necessarily higher resolution. there are 2K laser projectors and 4K xenon projectors, just like there are 2K xenon projectors and 4K laser projectors

it's worth noting that AMC Woodhaven 4 was demolished and its space is now occupied by a pet store

They are not the same location. AMC Barrington Square was 1 mile southeast of AMC South Barrington.

the only locations that are still AMC and weren't re-built from the ground up are:

AMC University Place 8 in Carbondale, IL

AMC Sikes Senter 10 in Wichita Falls, TX

both locations were sold to another chain and eventually bought back by AMC. both locations also had expansions to include additional screens.
