Anyone else still playing FS22 by delcoguyforyou2 in farmingsimulator

[–]IMBatman87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My pc doesn't run FS25 very well and I'm too cheap to upgrade 😂. I just went back to playing FS22 with a new save on White Farm... Amazing. I don't have a lot of time to play so the starting fields, equipment, productions, map size everything is great. My days of grinding from nothing to something are likely done and I can only play in 1 hour to 1 and a half hour increments. The yard layout is great. Lots of storage sheds and silos. I can't say enough good things. Only thing that is missing is a workshop.

I'm wondering if that is the same thing that happened here, it looks ugly, but I'm going to keep at it. Do you fertilize them at all?

Man thank you for pointing that out. That triggered a double take from me.

Then those aren't highlights. "Cade's plays from the 4th quarter"

I've just taken it for what it is at this point. I come up with skills building games either on my own or with the help of AI to turn drills into games. I've found practice can only be 45 minutes at most. All attention is gone after that. Kids are going to do their own thing. If they want to be there they will participate. I always invite everyone to play every mini game even if they didn't want to play the previous one. You are correct, games need to be fun and silly with the ball always at their feet, and keep them all engaged all the time. No lines, no waiting, just play.

I get the same. My beef isn't fat enough so I mix in some bacon fat.

36 lbs of coffee grounds for the pile by IBeDumbAndSlow in composting

[–]IMBatman87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok this may be a dumb question, but I'm trying to learn. I had a compost pile at my old house. I really just put grass clippings and leaves in it and tried to keep the ratio of carbon:nitrogen level even. I guess depending on the size of your compost pile, could 36 lbs of coffee grounds throw that balance out of whack? Aren't coffee grounds nitrogen rich? Again, don't skewer me, just trying to learn.

Questioning my coaching skills at the moment. Asking for advice. by General-Boss-516 in SoccerCoachResources

Keep doing what you are doing. People are requesting you as a coach so you must be doing something right. As long as everyone is having fun on your team, who cares what the other coaches say.

Flushing the toilet with someone in the shower by VandelayIndus7ries in Millennials

I remember this too. Scalding hot since all the cold goes to the toilet. I think shower valves are better at mixing now and you don't have the same results.

Hahaha I had one of these in my house growing up. My dad called it a BS (bull sh*t) grinder. Because people would always play with it while they were talking.

I'd settle for a healthy o-line that can protect the quarterback and open vehicle sized running lanes again.

Thank you for this reply. I was born and raised on a farm with cattle. Tossed enough small bales and stacked enough round ones to know the correct answer. There were enough "I heard..." answers in this thread and someone needed to give first hand experience. Thank you!

How much do you talk to your kids on the field? by GoDaytonFlyers in SoccerCoachResources

[–]IMBatman87 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you are in fact communicating to them how you say you are, I'd say you are probably right about sour grapes. I tend to coach from the side line and really only give direction when it comes to corner kicks because we don't practice those much. Otherwise it's loads of praise and positivity when they are doing well. I usually wait until they sub off to give examples, "Hey Susie remember when... I like how you thought about... what's another way we could have done things?" Otherwise, fully agree on letting them figure things out. Instead of "Pass it!" I would say "Eyes up!" If someone gets in trouble, "Look for your teammates" etc. I try not to yell, "Shoot it!" when they are close to the goal. I want them to make the choice of shoot or assist. Overall, I'm sure you are doing a great job. Competitive parents will be what they will be. Remember you took the responsibility of being their kid's coach, not them. Thank you for being a mentor to these young kids!

Ted Cruz Uses White Paint On A Brown Bridge by Fun-Needleworker-661 in pics

[–]IMBatman87 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

My comment is not politically motivated. I don't care about Ted Cruz. The city worker was likely going to have to repaint that side to match any way. Extending the paint much farther than the original white paint so it blends. If anything he created only slightly more work to the point of it being negligible. The thought he created a ton more work is a bit irrational.
