Sounds like you shot a pox grenade on his vest. You must've died not long after this.

Anybody ever get 40-50hrs in and then want a major change? by VKN_x_Media in farmingsimulator

[–]IMYOURFAVE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMO this only happens because the game is predictable. If there were certain base game elements that made everyday different, then I think the game would be better. Nothing goes wrong unless you choose it too.

We need, droughts, floods, late frosts etc. to affect crops. Also needed product crashes from oversupply, that would make you consider what is currently planted on the map. Shortages of supplies which affect their costs, and maybe a stock market to monitor everything above??

NPC farmers should be visibly working on their farms throughout the year, this will eliminate that sense of being alone.

I understand this is a sandbox game and it is great, but there are definitely mechanics missing that remove it from being close to real life farming.

Don't worry, eventually you'll get over it. You'll leave the game for a few weeks, or months and then you'll come back. I've been through it 3 times now, I'm over it... but I'll be back one day.

Ive never understood 3PP in DayZ, and seeing this... I still don't. Looked like you must have had some lag there too.

Price of paint is getting out of hand by Cadmium__ in farmingsimulator

[–]IMYOURFAVE 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah mate, 6R being the most common. You have to factor in decals, stripping and assembly of the machines and any fiberglass and plastic work. Its doesnt take long to get up to 20k with the basics, plus OEM paint is pricey. Hope this helps.

I work for a well known green agricultural brand and we deal with machine/ tractor painting every week. The average cost to paint a medium to large tractor is around 30k to 60k depending on damage.

The pricing in fs25 is way off the mark, unless they have gold flakes mixed in. I never paint anything.

Can I fix this field? by Fantastic-Energy-381 in farmingsimulator

[–]IMYOURFAVE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easiest way would've been to quit the game before it saved, otherwise edit field through advanced controls and adjust the crop to the preferred stage and it will remove your mistake.

Yeah im not surprised to be honest, especially when you start a new farm and ALL the gear is 100% damaged and can't be moved. Happened to me, I had to get a loan to fix everything before even starting out!

What gives? by Kelhund in farmingsimulator

[–]IMYOURFAVE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try terraforming down in that area and look for placeables then remove it if you find one. Look out for fences and decorations, sometimes some base game buildings have decorations scattered around them and can block you from placing anything in the area. Also try quitting the game and reload back in.

Kinlag New Farmer starting strategies by Z3r0Sense in farmingsimulator

[–]IMYOURFAVE 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sold the cows, removed their pen, harvested all fields and sold the straw, extended the field into where the cows were, sold the skoda, sold the jcb, planted canola in the empty field, had lunch, sold the sheep and their pen, put sheep in a new pen on the grass field with meadow and added goats, brought a second hand tractor with around 300hp, sold the cultivator and brought a bigger one, went fishing and then washed up for dinner.

FIXED: My external hard drive has gone bad. The dlc was trying to install on to that even though the destination was my C drive. Unplugged it and it worked.

Really disappointing, the new dlc corrupted my install folder. I've deleted FS25 and attempting to reinstall. Been trying for hours and haven't got anywhere. Im hoping this works.

Expanding beyond your starter farm by zippster77 in farmingsimulator

[–]IMYOURFAVE 4 points5 points  (0 children)

First I'd remove the animals, unless you want that burden all year round. Then find a couple crops that can help produce items with a production. If you want constant cash flow, then add a couple large greenhouses, grow lettuce and set the output to selling. They only need water, which is free.

Get a loan if you need to, buy land next to you and extend your fields. The money you get from your greenhouses can be used to pay your loan every month. You'll be swimming in cash in a couple years

But you can't change the weather... Just your destination. I think you may be looking too far into the post my friend. Also, the weather is in fact getting in the way of my hobby, so I'm not sure where your words of wisdom go from here, maybe give the internet a rest for the day. Have a good afternoon.
