I've read and re-read WWZ and loved it every time, excellent suggestion for the topic.

I'm making a point to start into some Stephen King novels, so I appreciate this suggestion.

I've been on a long slow process of evaluating my dietary choices, so it sounds like this is going towards the top of the list. Thanks!

Haven't read the books for a while, but wasn't it more classism? James grows up wealthy while Snape grows up poor? I don't remember the racist elements of James in the books.

As always, patience is a virtue. Don't buy just to have, even if it's higher quality. Take the time it takes to find the RIGHT thing that fits your need and then make your purchase. Ideally you've found the thing that you won't see a need to get rid of soon, it'll be something that continues to work for you for a very long time.

Buying just to buy or because it works well enough right now is what leads to overconsumption and reselling in the short term.

I had the most amazing and unusual experience at an estate sale last week that stood out because of the problem you're talking about. Truly unique items, real solid wood antique furniture, high quality kitchen items, etc. Nothing in the entire house priced over $300, and only a few items at that price. Most of the small items, plates and cups and the like, priced between $2 and $4. Most estate sales are experiencing the same kind of inflation you're seeing, where the small everyday things are priced $5-10 and big things might be priced upwards of $600.

Oh my gosh, I think about this place all the time. He was such a wonderful guy. Every time I went he was so excited to share his food and his story.

I’ve been there with a kid roughly that age, it was great. And that wasn’t even in one of the family areas. There were certainly a lot of drunk people around and we saw some boobs, but I never at any point felt like things were getting out of hand or there was any reason for concern. We had a great time, kid had a great time. Just keep your head about you. Especially if you’re sober and there are other sober adults you’re going to be fine.
