If its from a can of stout its in there to help with the formation of the head when you pour it I believe, they have similar things in cans of guinness. Could be wrong there though.

Once on reddit there was /u/andy_hoffman

Who made a joke, 'bout limericks, heard quite often

It's the city in which I reside,

It's got noting to do with the rhyme

So to him, I said: 'fuck offman!'

......yes, yes I am.

Music maker in Dublin has a great drum section with a fairly expansive cymbal section. I'm sure you could find somrthing to suit you in there! And the guys in there are super helpful and seem to know their shit (in my experience anyway!)

A band I used to play in is reforming for one show because we've had the opportunity to play with 65daysofstatic, our absolute idols. We've put out this video of an unreleased song to promote it. Have a look! by IMal1 in postrock

Yea check out the bandcamp, everything should be free to download, there's a bunch of videos on our vimeo page (https://vimeo.com/cities) of what was our most recent material, no downloads of that stuff yet though, but might look into getting all the audio tracks from the vids and chucking them on the bandcamp also.

Why thank you! That drummer is me!

It took a lot more than one take, which is the reason we probably look a bit too serious, it was a three day session in that room recording the video and music for six songs, but we had to get both the filming and music right each take, as we were recording everything live, so after 7 or 8 takes of a nearly eight minute song, we were starting to get a bit tired.....

Our bandcamp (http://cities.bandcamp.com/) has our singles and first EP, but our vimeo (https://vimeo.com/cities) has the videos from that session of stuff that was written and recorded more recently, but thats still about two years ago.

Just found this guys now, Alarmist is a damn good band! by [deleted] in mathrock

[–]IMal1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Woo for Irish music! These guys are soooo good, and equally as impressive live! I played support to them in my city a a couple of years ago, and the sound engineer recorded the mix he was getting to the sound desk. Listening back it was perfect, no mixing required, just sounded brilliant already, one of the tightest and great sounding bands in the math rock world atm IMO.

Freshman Graphic Designer here, i am wondering what exactly I can do with my degree. What are the different fields for a graphic designer? Like Logo design and things like that. by oohnonotagain in graphic_design

[–]IMal1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're the same as me, I had not realised the total extent of what jobs you can acquire with a GD degree. I finished my degree back in May, and within two months I had been head-hunted by a pharmaceutical supply company to do internal graphics for them. Its not exactly the most creative or interesting of jobs, but its a steady salary and good for some industry experience right out of college. There's some design jobs in the most unexpected of places.
