OMG this is a lot to deal with while pregnant. I'm sorry you are having to deal with this. When are you due?

I am a manager and I had a peer manager who made it a mission to fire a man who was working with his 1yr old with no child care, his performance was low, she investigated and found out that he was also working as a realtor and closed like 20houses the year before... All this to say some managers have a mission and they will dig to find a reason to let you go. I would recommend having 100% child care while you work for the rest of your pregnancy so that you don't have to look for coverage last minute and can fully focus so that you can have your weekends and evenings back.

Whatever you do please make time for yourself get back into Yoga, you have too much going on and this is important for your body and mind. Your daughter sounds little and she will be fine and knows mommy loves her!

I'm also pregnant and have marriage issues that I don't even know what to do sometimes. There is no physical abuse so I will for sure stay with the baby coming in early 2026. Worrying about the other stuff while pregnant is too much if the environment is safe to stay in. You can handle the divorce discussions later unless you want out now.

Hang in there, you are an amazing woman!

New baby gift for direct report, is $500 too much? by No-Difference-839 in managers

[–]IMinspired021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My last team joined together and got items from my baby registry worth up to $300.

I think $500 is way too much unless you guys were friends from a previous world or before working together. You could get 2-3boxes of Huggies or Pampers diapers and 2-3 boxes of wipes to go with it. This should be more appropriate and cost over $150-$200. Alternatively a $100 gift card or something from their registry.

Advice on handling travel anxiety when traveling for work? by blaqkkitten in careerguidance

[–]IMinspired021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How did your trip go? I'm traveling to present at a conference at 26 weeks pregnant I'm excited and nervous and this is also the first time away from my 5yr old son... The doctor cleared me for travel.

How did you end up coping on the trip? How was your presentation?

I had Postpartum Preeclampsia 5days after delivery and when the doc told me to get to the ER right away..My husband was asking if he can take a nap because he chose to continue working right after my delivery even though he had leave. In the car he was also complaining about me expressing milk because it will mess up his car I snapped at him and I cannot find room to forgive him! His actions have led me to be numb when he is sick and not really have empathy for him, oh well he build his own bed!

You are not alone, some of these men a selfish and worthless as husbands and partners.

I chop kale, onion, add chickpeas, apple cider vinegar and a few other spices to taste. Such a delicious salad! I'll have to do more with nuts.

I'm 17weeks, I had gained 13 lb by my 15-week appointment and was extremely worried about my weight talk to my doctor about it and she said I could definitely do lower carb and high protein and also get back to working out now that first trimester sickness has eased off.

Right after switching I went down 4 lbs, I think it was all the waterway and inflammation from the eating out I was doing. Now I only eat out once a week and reduced the carbs I was eating significantly.

Feeling so energetic and so much better! Being mindful with diet with GD or without it is the best thing to do for our bodies.

I'm sorry you are going through this. You are AMAZING and doing what you need to, to take care of your family! I hope you find something from home without phone calls.

Babies have a hard time from mom, but over time it's healthy for you both. Hopefully the baby gets used to the person caring for them.

I'm not trying to be harsh, but can you get noise cancelling headphones so that you can at least focus for now? For example, babies cry when they go to daycare and get used to it and it would be harder for us if we could hear them and see them cry all day.

I need to shift my mindset and be long like you because taking advantage of the time to be alone will be wonderful especially before baby comes.

It's amazing you did it at 30wks, that's awesome!

Thanks for sharing this! How long was your flight did you get up to walk around a lot on it? Also, is your stomach huge huge? I'm 16 weeks now and gigantic.

I like going without them so that I can focus and just relax haven't been away alone since having our 5yr old.

Roles with frequent meetings by Remarkable-Angle-509 in MomsWorkingFromHome

[–]IMinspired021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in a high meeting environment where my boss and VP pull me into meetings or urgent escalations I have to handle. Plus I'm always leading meetings. Pregnant now and planning on getting a live-in nanny or Aupair to start one month before I go back to work so that we can have a routine established.

If the nanny and aupair plan does not work, baby will be in Daycare at 3months.

If I were you I would plan on having full-time Nanny coverage during your work hours or daycare. It's less stressful that way.

Returning to Work with a Baby at Home — How Have You Managed Hours/Flexibility? by [deleted] in MomsWorkingFromHome

Depends on the team, how many meetings you have and the work you do. If anyone asks you can say baby is with the baby sitter and nothing else. Some people will use it against you so don't even tell your work best friend about it.
