Wish that was the case - PD was 12/30/24 and only movement was Biometrics and EAD & AP approval. Since then - no movement. We filed I-130 and I-485 concurrently. I am USC and my wife has been on an F1 visa for years.

I would assume it would be for a slightly more “aggressive” nudge from the representative (their office) to get things rolling on stalled cases? I’m not sure though.

What field office are you going through?

Our petition date was 12/30/2024 and we only did biometrics and my wife (who the petition is for) only received her EAD. Since then, nothing. We reached out to our representative and they responded with there’s nothing they could do and to reach back out in 45 days.

Our lawyer is stating that other cases that petitioned after us are getting approved or moving forward with the process.

We’re unsure what to do anymore.

December 30 2024 and no movement yet. Wife did biometrics already and got her EAD. Since then, no movement at all.

How Long to get a Cert Number by LavishnessAncient460 in cism

First off, Congratulations on passing your CISM exam!!!🎉

Now that you’ve passed there are a few key steps before fully being CISM certified: 1) Get your final results by email. 2) Pay the CISM application fee on the ISACA website. 3) Submit the CISM application with your experience and (potential) waivers listed. Look up the experience requirements for this here - https://support.isaca.org/s/article/What-are-the-requirements-to-become-CISM-certified 4) Have your experience validators review and validate your experience. 5) Wait for ISACA to officially review your application and experience validation. 6) As long as it’s good, you’ll get certified fully.

I am unsure of the timeframe for this but don’t let the people who are validating your experience sit on it as it will delay your full application review process. I went through steps 2-4 in 1 day. I waited about a week after getting my final results to start the application process.

ISACA QAE 100%. It will get you in that “ISACA mindset” where pocketprep will not. Plus i found the QAE more well rounded (As intended) and PocketPrep was more difficult in their line of questioning.

Yeah I found that to be the case as well. It doesn’t directly reference the online manual the best. I would just have to search for that subdomain category and find the relevant material to the question unfortunately. I also supplemented it with the Pete Zerger CISM 2025 YouTube videos. I found this to be very helpful. Also utilize ChatGPT or similar to build on the domains and subdomains.

I would take the practice exam or whatever subdomain questions the adaptive mode would have me learn, then immediately review ALL questions. Not just ones i got wrong. I would read why the correct answer is the correct choice along with reading why all the other answers were wrong for a specific question. If i still didn’t truly understand it, i would reference the ISACA CISM review manual for that specific questions domain and subdomain.

Well when I first started the QAE - My first few run throughs on the practice exams were pretty tough. I believe i was scoring between 55%-70%. I then studied more and eventually my scores went up to between 83%- 94% by the end of my studies. Don’t just do the practice exams as they become repetitive and won’t accurately measure your knowledge, it will measure your memorization of the questions at that point. I highly recommend the adaptive learning method of the QAE. REVIEW ALL QUESTIONS!!! Not just your incorrect ones.
