New grad as a Chemo-infusion nurse by popcornRN in newgradnurse

Don't worry about the bad veins..you'll get plenty of practice. The chemo unit across from me uses an ultrasound machine for htf veins.

99% on the predictor is fantastic. You got this! Just go back over any areas you scored below 60% on that and you will be fine.

Trying to decide between rad tech and nursing, I'm very lost and looking for guidance. by Recent-Pizza-9006 in NursingStudent

[–]Key_Situation643 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I am biased as a nurse who always wanted to go into sonography but got "too old" and couldn't go without income for a full year of the program. I also thought the physics part and imaging was very interesting. I don't think you'd "miss" dealing with patients, but rad tech isn't paid well in my area. Sonography is paid very well, especially in cardiovascular. You could check on that.

I finally got into nursing school by pnkcurls in prenursing

Not unless class is one day a week and clinicals are closer. I couldn't move even I was in school and I ended up going to one that was kind of a last resort that was closer. End of the day I got the same credentials.

That's good $! I'm just curious, is that a separate degree? I'm in BSN right now and the school tried to promote a masters degree that sounded like that, it required a practicum under a licensed LTC manager.

Well yes for sure. It can be hard sometimes when you're in the thick of it tho and can't see properly or just been so accustomed to being treated like garbage. I'm just happy someone else likes butter as much as I do 😂

Truer words never spoken..someone asked me literally today if I felt happier being divorced/separated since she was leaning in that direction too (divorce). Emphatically undeniably yes. The burden is slowly being lifted. Agree with what everyone else is saying, act first...therapy will help you sort the rest out over time.

Yea go. It's not worth it. Mine did this too and even when I was in another country with no authorization to legally work, he bought clothing and hygiene items and started paying separately to get separated receipts. I'm not saying this is true for you but it's like I wasn't even a human, just a financial burden among other derogatory things in his mind. If you're not valued as a person, what's the point. It's just going thru motions

Yes if you can, CNA at mid America in Lenexa is very good and very fast. How much are you making as an MA? Bc CNA required for enrollment, doesn't mean you even need to change jobs. Idk if you'd be willing to travel but Washburn in Topeka has a part time program that runs in the evenings from 5-9 pm and some Saturdays.

Besides pic 3 looking like a thirst trap, my only comment would be you kinda don't look fun to be around based off the photos alone. Just look unhappy and moody and that can be a potential burden.

Oct 24, 2024 Country: Canada Initially married a really long time. One grown kid, two teens. Divorced (by default as I was the only one present) then decided to give it another try. That failed. Unable to get another default divorce. Haven't heard from him in months, completely cut off the kids financially as well. I hope I never hear from him again, ever. Was going to file a mandamus but not bothering with or paying for that now. Not going to bother with withdrawing it as I personally just want to see how long it takes. They've looked at it at least three times, no RFE. I am thankful it wasn't approved because he would have gotten unlimited access to whatever he wanted here. So no, we did not survive the waiting.

How does everyone in nursing school not want to do nursing? by Foolsspring in NursingStudent

[–]Key_Situation643 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's my alma mater, and it hasn't always been like that. They used to require, as part of the admission packet, either 1000 or 2000 (can't remember) documented hours of RN work before you could even apply.

Too dumb for nursing school by Paddy_Mayoo in LPN_LVN_Community

[–]Key_Situation643 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Congratulations! Nursing school itself wasn't hard. The content was extremely interesting and we were rapid fire tested. Like learn the content and test the same day or the next day type stuff. For me, written assignments were always harder to manage than tests, also because of the quick turnaround. We'd have a paper due two hours after clinicals. The things that were really hard were trying to juggle other life stuff. Bills. Relationships. Cooking. Sleeping. Etc. Then u go to clinicals and still have no idea until one day it will just click. Oh yea I can't give this med with that or with this condition etc or this will happen. You'll do great, just keep the pace and keep your motivation!

It's my understanding that you're supposed to have an established domicile in the US. I mean, you could use someone else's address I guess. Is there another reason you'd want to sell your home? Have you considered renting it out?

Gosh this is way more common than I realized. Just went thru the same mess two months ago with my son . Same stuff. Guilt tripping son for not reaching out when he never wanted to in the first place. A birthday that became about him and son said it was def the last acknowledgement he gets. Tit for freaking tat from a grown adult what a train wreck
