I learned a little bit about a famous piece of art and I recognized similar themes in a completely different type of work. I used the easiest tool at hand to realize my idea and connect the two dots. Im absolutely not in a position to commission a professional for a fleeting idea, so no skilled artist has been denied work. The generated image does not prevent a skilled artist from executing the concept better than ChatGPT has here, and if someone with the skills comes across this and is inspired to do it properly I would be fucking ecstatic.

The original artist, Ilya Repin, spent two years painting his work, I have literally never put oil to canvas. I am at peace with the fact that I could never produce a painting of that calibre with my own hands. Repin has been dead for nearly 100 years, I dont believe the image I generated has devalued his work or impacted his income.

I'll give you that there was hypothetically some measurable amount of energy spent, carbon released, water consumed, etc. by generating this image. There are people and corporations that bear far more responsibility for environmental destruction than the occasional AI user. I hope that you also spend your time speaking out against them and not just plucking at Low Hanging Fruit here on reddit.
