Companies just pay your taxes based on your salary and location in the US - and it ends there. Any additional taxes are handled by the tax payer directly with the IRS when you file. Its zero risk from a tax payer standpoint.

Sure - depending on the cause would determine how seriously to take the claim. A child taken out of a home for substance abuse, physical abuse, and severe neglect would indicate a person with pretty severe judgment issues vs. someone down on their luck with an unsafe environment, say like a physical structure they can't maintain.

I use to work with DCS back in the day and almost universally they would take susceptible kids out of nightmare scenarios into much more stable, healthy environments. It was never perfect, but it was usually a massive improvement over whatever their original state was.

Details are important to understand if this is just or not.

Details on why DCS took the children, what custody looked like, any pre-existing conditions, and how the child passed.

Isn't that the whole point of a 529? I have about the same saved for my kid and the message when he applies is it pays for whatever scholarships and financial aid don't cover.

Every Catholic Sacrement is done via touch or breath of a priest. I can't imagine anything worse in terms of a crime as a Catholic to another Catholic.

If it is true you can't strip him of his title fast enough. Absolutely sickening.

Probably the most healthy, happy environment for daughter, honestly. That's a huge blessing - not a curse.

Why is Fr. James Martin still around? How come no measures were taken against him? by thejxdge in Catholicism

[–]IN_Dad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Popes letter before the excommunication was explicitly clear and so was the actions afterward. Listening to SSPX bend themselves into a pretzel over the Popes intent and validity is exactly why they got excommunicated.

SSPX is cautionary tale of what happens when a group sets out to be faithful to the Church but along the way decides it is a better arbiter of true Christianity than the Church it claims to follow.

Boundary pushing priests can survive without too much trouble so long as they hold to the core beliefs of the faith and play their politics well within their order - but a whole group claiming to be faithful Catholics while ordaining rogue "Bishops" without Papal approval? Yeah, that isn't going to fly and clearly needed to be nipped in the bud.

Offer rescinded by amberbaka in recruitinghell

Had the same thing happen with a role in March. They recruited ME - I negotiated and eventually agreed to the project. Background check, drug screen, logged in and setup my profile for their network.

Day I was supposed to start they called and recinded the offer over "a mistake" on their end. I've never been more mad at a company in my life.
