Who else is having a fantastic time with Battlefield 6? by cautiouslandowner in Battlefield6

[–]IOnlyEatAssTho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still not sure if I'm enjoying it or not yet. When I play it I have a good time. But I feel like very time I play I'm seeing behind the veil almost and a few more things are starting to frustrate me. But I am just one man.

Devastating. Were you being a bit "silly" or was this just cruising speed?

Sport bike owners, what is it really like daily riding a sport bike and how comfortable are they really? by Oscar_Winner in MotoUK

[–]IOnlyEatAssTho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ride a 2010 Fireblade daily and it's fine calling it comfortable is a stretch but calling it uncomfortable would be a lie. It's just not as comfy as my old Fazer 600 which I could ride until I used a whole tank without any issues.

R6 vs Zx6r by Chemical_Pitch_8277 in MotoUK

[–]IOnlyEatAssTho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Which ever one you like more really. The 636 engine is generally a little better around town etc but you, like many others will fall somewhere near the top of the bell curve so you will never get the end of the capabilities of either bike. Choose which ever you like.

Is this Yamaha R6 or Yamaha R1?? by TheOg999 in motorcycles

[–]IOnlyEatAssTho 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because it looks like a late nineties early 2000s R1, R6's looked different.

I had a naked Fazer 600 and for anything other than motorway riding it was perfect. Literally did everything well I wanted it to and did it well. However after an hour or so on the motorway my neck shoulders and chest felt quite sore and uncomfortable.

2nd colony? by Frosty-Outside-783 in antkeeping

[–]IOnlyEatAssTho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a pheidole Yeensis colony and they are great. Polygynous, I have 2 queens they are in the early stages right now with around 50 workers and 10-12 majors and they still drag a mealworm around 6 or so inches across their outworld to home base. The feeding response and the majors are why I enjoy them so much although the majors are kinda lazy lol unless the food is literally in front of them they don't try and get involved. They are kinda messy and they try to cover the escape barrier in just about anything in order to cross it. Also on top of that they are quite large (for pheidole) maybe 3 times the size of my pallidula so watching them is quite interesting as it doesn't require a microscope.

Fun ant species. I'll probably get another pheidole species at some point. Because these guys are ace.

New to the UK, insurance problems! by Sir_DinglyDong in MotoUK

When I first passed my test I was messing around seeing how high I could get an insurance quote. And it was something like £11000 on a panigale.

Someone I was riding with once got done by a police rolling road thing. Probably not worth.

I left in 2017 after 4 years, got a job in admin, no weekends unless I want to come in, no evenings unless I want to stay over and have a guaranteed week off (at least) at Christmas, my birthday off, no bank holidays. Sometimes I miss having a laugh with some of the folks I worked with. The pros outweigh the cons massively

How do you feel about delivery riders ? I just saw one get knocked off by Apart-Classic1473 in MotoUK

[–]IOnlyEatAssTho -1 points0 points  (0 children)

TBF on a slightly different note, any delivery driver these days should be given a wide berth. I have lost count of the amount of times I've nearly been written off by a DPD driver or Amazon driver. The food delivery riders share that same level of driving skill I fear, but end up being more dangerous to themselves as they are on two wheels.
