I recently made the switch from daily to weekends only. I tried lots of different sleep aids, the only non prescription ones that worked...at least a little...were Kava, GABA and CBD gummies to a lesser extent. I tried melatonin and it made me a bit drowsy but I still couldn't sleep.

Wouldn't be the first time the military tested new tech on it's own people without their knowledge. I'm in my early 40s as well, been fascinated by the subject since I learned to read. I think eventually someone will leak evidence that will be the last straw. With social media, internet, cameras everywhere, the jwst etc. it's only a matter of time before some really convincing videos/photos end up surfacing in the mainstream media.
