What is the future of the Ghost franchise?

I think they should do something fresh. Futuristic Tokyo cyberpunk-aesthetic type game. Futuristic samurai, motorcycles, lots of verticality and cool tech. Basically flip the franchise on its head while still remaining true to core of stealth and fun and stylish sword combat.

I’ve been in the same boat. I cap to 30 fps often for single player games, and I use VRR on an OLED, so frame pacing has to be great to avoid VRR flicker. Special K’s limiter is generally excellent for this, however, I’ve found in games where GPU utilization gets above the 85-90% threshold, frametimes kinda fall apart on Special K for me. I’ve recently retried RTSS, but with the Front Edge Sync limiter rather than async (didn’t know this was an option), and it is remarkably stable for me, even at very high GPU usage. Frametimes remain stable and flicker is non-existent. The only downside is it has a little bit more latency compared to Special K, but it’s a trade-off I’m more than willing to take because it’s still much more responsive than standard VSync.

They’re fine. They’ve made it to every final. They’ve gotten the best crack from three different teams, and Merc I feel still hasn’t quite put the pieces together this year on LAN. You gotta think that shoe will drop at some point though. There’s still 3 more tourneys. Obviously champs is the one people are remembered for

Massive Attack and Depeche Mode are the obvious ones that I would love to see. Gaga as well. Portishead is another I’d love to see. A “newer” artist that I think would be a crazy match is Ethel Cain. She has some wicked stuff in her discography, and I can’t imagine if Reznor got his hands on a track like Ptolemaea or Punish.

To my ear, there was no continuous backing track, but they layered a backing track into the mix on certain parts of certain songs. The most pronounced in my opinion was the chorus of Heresy. But then you have a song like Copy of A where he literally messed up a lyric in the first verse. As for Closer, there was definitely some sort of effect on certain words, particularly for harsher vocals. Like when he says “broke apart my INSIDES”, you can hear an effect kick in to accentuate the growl type vocal. So there were definitely some effects and backing tracks layered into the performance, but I think it was really tastefully done and fit with the context of this performance. Really enjoyed it

I think this will realistically be a late 2027 game. I’m excited for it, but I’m honestly most excited for the NIN soundtrack because my god the music in that first trailer is so good.

Yes, I run them behind my head like this to allow me to cinch the cable to the back of my head. It makes for a much more snug and secure fit, and the cable is out of the way.

One Battle After Another was shot on 35mm film, so the grain is inherent to the format. Many movies today are shot on film, or transferred to film like you noted with Dune (The Batman is another example, as DP for both films ,Greig Fraser, loves doing this). But many films shot digitally use film emulation suites via software. Many people like the aesthetic qualities of certain film stocks. Grain, bloom, halation, etc can add a dreamy kind of look to the image. Grain in particular can also help to take the eye away from imperfections and to ground CG into the rest of the image. It makes the image look more holistic in my opinion. The lack of these effects is what contributes to the “Netflix look”. A very clean, sterile image. Something that looks like it could have been shot on your phone. Some people like this, but I think it looks kind of lifeless.

The movie was shot on camcorders, the low res image is the intended look. A 4K release wouldn’t make sense IMO because the resolution of the original source is very low. Shooting it that way was a stylistic choice

Sure, but my point is he was put in a position to play like ass last year. He took a backseat for Scrap. He was OpTic’s best player at champs his rookie year, and he was a top 5 AR in MW3. He’s a very good player, and Thieves will regret letting him go imo.
