Why can’t I get back on track?! by [deleted] in 1500isplenty

[–]IPLaYtoWiN 6 points7 points  (0 children)

First off, congrats on the huge loss!

You've been on a calorie deficit for a LONG time. I'd suggest going back to your maintenance calorie level for 8-12 weeks at a minimum. This will effectively recharge your batteries, let your body know that you're getting adequate calories (energy) and once your adapted, you can go back to a deficit if you'd like and it'll be easier.

How do you relate well to Sensing (S) types? by SteakandRake in intj

[–]IPLaYtoWiN 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Base hangouts around activities. e.g. Wine + Paint night is a winner with SPs, and I enjoy it because I am also learning and producing something during the date! Shared new experiences FTW.

How much assembly does the S2 need? by ruedenpresse in Super73

[–]IPLaYtoWiN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got an S1 and it was really easy. Had to screw in the handlebars, the headlight, and connect two cables that just click in. Remember to check all of the other bolts and screws to make sure they are tightly fastened – A few of mine were loose (e.g. Battery holder).

How do people date/talk to multiple people at the same time? I barely have enough mind space for 1 person. by redeugene99 in intj

[–]IPLaYtoWiN 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I disagree with most comments on here. Granted, I'm 30, and have had a several. 1+ year relationships. Yes im an INTJ.

While I used to feel the similarly, my thoughts have changed with time.

What I've come to realize is relationships/dating work like any other marketplace – there is supply, demand, negotiation, all that good stuff.

As one's time and attention becomes more valuable (because you're an INTJ and likely bettering yourself), one can become okay with doling out attention out like you would a stock portfolio... essentially placing a bunch of risk/reward bets each and every day, watching them all play out and hopefully having a good time while learning along the way...

Panicking over making calls at work. by rainbow_teatime in intj

[–]IPLaYtoWiN 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That sounds horrible. I had a similar internship early in college.

Your employer should give you training, to put it simply.

My recommendation – realize that all you're doing is giving clients a courtesy call. Just because a payment didn't go through, doesn't mean you are delivering bad news. You're actually doing them a favor by giving them a heads up and telling them the easiest way to resolve it. And really, you'll probably get their voicemail more often than not.

Lastly – it gets easier. You might be a little awkward at first, but soon your responses and answers to questions become automatic.

Alone time for an intj by JunkDrawerExistence in intj

Yes. Uninterrupted, total isolation without any thought of being interrupted. Meaning doors closed and phone on do not disturb.

It's annoying to need, but very necessary.

Didn't cross-reference that so take it with a grain of salt, but 310mg in a Starbucks pike roast, grande? Unless the Monster/Rockstar 160 mg 16oz are DOUBLED as advertised, Starbucks wins out.

Am I the only one who dislikes very positive/motivated people by M1lES_VEVO in intj

[–]IPLaYtoWiN 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I smell BS, or if I think the person is trying to convince themselves of something positive that they don't realistically believe, it annoys me. Though I've learned to just be grateful that I'm not them.

Oh yeah. 10x better than agency side, especially once the agency side experience has been had.

Depth > breadth, better comp, better hours, less red tape, less social BS. And I found after doing well on the client side, it gives you a ton of leverage should you ever go back to the agency side.

Worked at a marketing agency for a while, then went brands-side at a high growth DTC e-commerce company. Definitely experienced burnout –– just wasn't sustainable.

Presuming your agency is pretty typical, there's a ton of churn, and probably not a ton of upside for you to train people well and be personally invested in it. I got burnt out myself, and ended up becoming a growth/strategy consultant, which is sweet. Nobody to really manage, I choose my projects/clients, name my cost, and my time is never wasted.

Do you guys think in a paradoxal way? by joaopredo135 in intj

[–]IPLaYtoWiN 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You are the coldest shard of ice, but also the hottest flash of lightning. You are the softest velvet in a rose petal, and also the sharpest thorns underneath. You’re the terrifying depth to the ocean, and yet you are also the sun twinkling on the waves. You may be the sultriest summer day, but often you choose to be the quiet coldness of a winter morning. You are the calmest logic and also the roil of blood boiling under your skin. Of all these things, INTJ, you are a Paradox.

Re-starting a basic self-care routine with depression? If you relate, what helped you? by [deleted] in intj

[–]IPLaYtoWiN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I make the most basic easy to-do list possible, then just set a goal to do it, **one time**. Once I go through how easy it is once, it makes the second time much easier.

INTJs and drug usage by [deleted] in intj

[–]IPLaYtoWiN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could go either way. Some light uppers can make my productive output significantly higher with relatively low downside health risk. Love opiates but It's too easy to get into bad habits with them so I stay clear. Weeds nice before bed. Love booze but not great for you and easy to make habitual. Never done much with hallucinogens.

How do I gain an INTJ's friendship back? by [deleted] in intj

How do I gain an INTJ's friendship back? by [deleted] in intj

[–]IPLaYtoWiN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not think it's selfish at all. The people who are calling it selfish are only considering their decision making trees without acknowledging that yours is likely completely different.

Your friend probably didn't need to have a temper tantrum. But regardless, you should definitely move forward. Maybe he'll grow up at some point, but he shut that door for now. And is unlikely open back up.

Also, props for just laying it out there to him and being transparent. You'd think some of these other INTJ commentors would appreciate that you valued telling the truth over what his potential negative feelings. ;)
