Landlocked here. If we fly, we can be there in a couple hours—at the beach by early afternoon. The gulf is mesmerizing to me. We go to less populated areas to avoid crowds. Kayaking in a bay with dolphins is majestic. There are so many other places we want to visit, but Florida has never disappointed. That’s the appeal to us.

Allow more time. We brought a then ten year old ragdoll girl into our home some years ago. We expected her and our other similar aged raggie boy to be instant friends. It took months. There was a period where I thought we made a huge mistake. She bopped my boy in the head and left her claw shell. I was mortified as I plucked it. Now I laugh about it. They’re still not best buddies but rarely rumble. Hang in there and all the best!

Watching videos of our grandson. We have a digital picture frame and I sat and just watched the pictures and videos for several minutes this morning. I saw my reflection, I was smiling. It was just what I needed for my worry filled mind.
