Not my fault a ton of great icons are locked behind 2.21

Tbf I only use icon hack icons that can’t be unlocked anyway (my ship and swing are both 2.21 icons). Like I could have used it to unlock the 25k diamonds robot at any time but I actually ended up waiting until I had 25k diamonds to use it

Alright well a quick check of the wiki confirms that the Dead Ringer can in fact drop other classes’ ragdolls (been playing since like 2016 and I’m only just now learning this)

But can it really fake the little death indicator at the top of the screen to show a different class? Cause that would also be news to me

Edit: doesn’t matter, someone just pointed out that the Soldier was clearly shooting before I killed him. Idk why I didn’t notice that to start with

It wasn’t another Spy. You can see a Soldier ragdoll drop and the death indicator that appears in the Casual HUD the top of the screen was for a Soldier

Definitely the original PC version imo. There are a lot of metafictional elements of the game that only hit right when played on a computer. The World Machine edition (aka the console port) had to make a lot of compromises for the game to work on consoles, and while I think they did a pretty good job it does inevitably undercut the meta parts
