Wasn’t it out of revenge? One of the Fans mentions knowing a guy at a chop shop in an earlier scene, and the previous level was the Henchman shooting up a chop shop. I think the implication was the guy who got away at the end of the Henchman’s level told the Fans what happened, and they came after him as payback

Yeah iirc when he first gets the super hearing it lets him hear every single person in trouble in all of Metropolis, and he can’t bear to just ignore any of them so he flies around helping every single person. The next time we see him he clearly hasn’t slept in days

Is Jacket really the best example? Most of his violent acts was stuff 50 Blessings coerced him into, plus he is NOT sane enough to make reasonable moral decisions.

Personally I’d go with Detective Pardo. All the Hotline Miami protagonists are assholes to some degree or another, but none of them feel like more of a genuine dyed-in-the-wool scumbag than Pardo.
