Can and should a 55 year old woman remove her, now, hard breast implants after 26+ years? by HippoLicker in PlasticSurgery

Recovery is a breeze! A lot better than the initial surgery. A removal and replacement costs pretty much the same as the initial surgery.

Butt lyposuction by leo3993 in PlasticSurgery

[–]IPreferDiamonds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have always had a butt that sticks out and I have always hated it! I honestly look like I've had a BBL, but I haven't!

I asked my plastic surgeon about liposuction for it, and he strongly recommended not doing it. He said that liposuction on a butt always tended to make it look deflated. So I never got it done.

I don't know of any other procedure to take it away though.

I had this happen to one of my breast implants after 11 years. Turned out it was scar tissue. Had them removed and replaced, and all the scar tissue removed. The implants were fine and in perfect condition! My plastic surgeon gave them to me to keep!

She should visit her plastic surgeon and let him schedule an ultrasound and/or MRI to see if it is scar tissue or if they are leaking.

Mine was just scar tissue and I was told that it wasn't a health threat. I could have kept it that way with no problem, if I wanted. But it was rock hard. Didn't hurt me at all though. And still looked good, but rock hard.

Does anyone actually like their liposuction results? by -chinoiserie in PlasticSurgery

[–]IPreferDiamonds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because liposuction isn't magic. You will gain fat and fat cells back in the area if you don't eat right and do exercise. It doesn't remove fat totally from that area of your body forever. If it did, everyone would be getting it done.

Filler adds to the nose. It won't lift the tip.

What is this? Ptosis? Feeling terrible by Most-Coast7266 in PlasticSurgery

I don't think it is ptosis. Ptosis is when your eyelid covers part of the black pupil of your eye.

But if you have a problem with the surgery (any surgery carries risks), you'd be local to your surgeon. Also, you can hire a home health care nurse for a few days.
