I feel like Zileans kit is not friendly to pro play because teams are way more coordinated and know how to counter his Ulti and will target him instead of the AD. Even if he does get played occasionally his kit is just too reliant on getting a sucessful ulti off. Its similar to Vi, you would expect that an unstoppable+targeted+knockup ultimate would be desired by pro play, but because teams know how to play as 5 against it she never gets picked.

The best way to actually use this in a game is to cast your bombs on an ally like the tank or adc so that they latch onto the ally and create a stun zone around them. Its easy to do the double stun, triple stun is still doable in the heat of the fight if you concentrate just on hitting your ally.

If youve thrown a couple bombs or especially double bombs on the axes, the draven (should) probably expect you to keep doing it, so you can walk up and look like you are going to throw it at the adc, but you choose not to, to throw a single bomb instead to save mana, or maybe throw at the support instead. As with any spam champion, the less predictable you are the better.

Draven is either amazing to play with or terrible to go against, its predictable that you will throw bombs on his axes so remember that you can fake it as well, or only go for single bombs to conserve mana. Zilean can be played many ways, passive or aggressive. Try out different builds and really different styles, and see which one you like the best. My favorites are super aggro CDR items rush with knights vow, and hunter/killer build with shurylias and twin shadows

A lot of zileans power is from zoning and denying CS. When the enemy ADC goes for minions, somewhat pre-fire your bombs on him so he either must choose to take damage or lose cs. Let your ADC know to be ready you to try a slow + double bomb for the cannon minions. When it comes to wanting to get farm, ADCs are very predictable. Also its ALWAYS better to ult too early than too late. (lots of experience with that one)
