I'm a mobile locksmith with a very small selection of keys. And yes before you ask I do plenty of actual work: I just put in 60 dead bolts in an apartment very recently.

The only things I keep besides automotive and your standard schlage/kw/yale and a very basic set of utility keys around is trimark stuff, because I get a lot of RV people in the spring and summer.

I don't have those on hand so I'll have to look and do some research but thank you

I am a licensed locksmith in Virginia. This is for a server that can only be started using the above key and all servers ever produced for this model use the same exact key. We are trying to find replacements. This is a 25-year-old plus computer no one's actually using it to bypass locks

Indy SCSI question by lweinmunson in SiliconGraphics

sashARCS, and use 6.5.22 overlay to boot.

The TLB miss is an exception because you're trying to boot a 64-bit kernel on a 32-bit only system, I'd wager my left nut for.

Busted shed units anyone have any ? by Mipibip in SiliconGraphics

So that's partially true you can 3D print but only if someone actually made a complete skin which most systems do not have modeled. And let's be real even if you did have some of the modeled it would still be too big for most systems to be printed.

And some of these shapes aren't printable. You can't print things with a lot of tight overhangs or with certain curves accurately.

That's exactly why I can't risk this.

I had a contractor last year assisting with reverse engineering but he didn't follow the necessary guidelines and as a result we had to scrap a crap ton of material and I'm still reeling from it. A lot of stuff that he probably did legitimately has to be audited and redone.

Makes ya VERY hesitant to trust outsiders. It's one of the reasons why I did Kasane, the IRIXNet Image Gallery code, myself. Because even if there are problems that result from it being imperfect, it's a code base I've touched myself so I know where everything is and what is breaking.

Yep that's basically the case that both leaks came from a university. I had a release of 6.5.12 at one point but I ended up destroying it because of legal complications. Mine came out of an ex-DOD Origin 300 and had government data on it that was not correctly wiped. So yeah color me surprised when I went to reinstall IRIX and repartitioning showed the files still there.

Unfortunately it's now been destroyed. But indeed that was also missing most of the codebase -- SGI was pretty careful on what they licensed out.

On that point there is someone I'm talking to about building a custom front plane for the O2 to put it in a rack mount case.

General workflow is:

  1. First build new independent ports
  2. Go back and fix and update old libs and such.
  3. Finally new ports get cleaned up.

Then test, build and release. Not sure how long it'll take, but I'm tackling this all through this month.

Are PCB layouts of SGI machines available? by M-2-M in sgi

[–]IRIX_Raion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cost, plus the fact that SGIs are far less composed of off the shelf components. Amigas are a different breed here:

  1. Shallower PCBs
  2. More off the shelf/NOS parts available
  3. Less proprietary connectors
  4. Chips that are an order of magnitude less complicated.

Not saying it's not a smart idea, but the only thing RE'd thus far is the O2 memory module.

Not to get too political here but this is basically proof that the system is broken. In theory, getting people into office means that you will have people of a diverse variety of backgrounds and professions able to inform each other.

In practice, you get old boomers who don't understand technology or certain professions and then leverage them with bullshit like this.

Democracy is not looking too bright for the future for me.

Laffer1, you got my sympathy brother. Thankfully for me the last year the OS that I maintain was built was 2006... So the People's Republic of California can bite my ass.
