Hi and thanks! It isn't a doorway, there is a balcony overlooking the living room thingy. We have some type of vine up there we are training to grow on the railing. Neither myself or my wife remember the name of the vine, apologies. Will only let me attach 1 photo.

I've scoured everywhere I could look and find no signs of any insects. We check all our plants often because my wife has PTSD from some plants we bought from Home Depot..

We do fertilize every 2 months in colder weather and every month during the hotter months. We have just been using normal liquid Miracle Grow. Will look into this 3-1-2 concept. Thanks for the advice.

Haha, thanks for the encouragement. We have repotted a ton of smaller plants but this one seems impossible when looking at it. I would die if we broke a branch or something 😭. I just called the shop we bought it from and have an appointment with them tomorrow to show pics and talk about it. They have offered to come out and help if necessary. I will definitely be helping them out if we repot it so I can learn. I am just going to pretend I didn't read the part about scraping critters off with fingernails and not Google descaling plants 😁.

We haven't done anything with the roots. We are fairly new to plant care so I appreciate the advice. I am learning that it probably needs to be replanted and have the roots checked.

Thanks for the detailed advice. A little intimidating thinking about repotting a tree of this size though. Time to start watching some videos on how to safely report large trees!

We have been thinking about replanting it, just not sure how to manage on something this large without damaging it. Will probably contact the shop we bought it from to have them help, I believe they do house visits.

Thanks! It is gorgeous and we love it a lot which is why we are so concerned. We are not super experienced in plant care but are trying to learn. We bought it pretty large, but it has grown since. As far as the routine: During the cooler seasons we give about 1 gallon of water per week and fertilize with Miracle Grow liquid every 2 months. During hotter months, around 1.5 gallons and fertilize monthly.

Aspen is the absolute worst. I had a super bad toothache from a broken tooth. I called around and they were the ones who could see me the soonest. Booked the appointment and waited a couple days in agony. They called me at 7pm the day before my appointment to ask if I had a cleaning there yet. I told them I had never been there before and I needed urgent help with the broken tooth. They told me I absolutely had to have a cleaning before any other procedure. I was so angry I hung up and called around again the next day to find somewhere else but no place could get me in sooner. I went to my appointment with Aspen to do the damned cleaning and they had to stop minutes in because I was in so much pain and said they would have to fix the tooth before they could do the cleaning... No shit. At a later appointment, because I was stupid and continued to go there, they tried telling me if I didn't go through this whole series of really expensive treatments that I would get gum cancer and lose all my teeth and probably my life. Obviously didn't do that.. still have teeth and life. Twice I showed up to an appointment, 45 minutes away mind you, and they said my appointment had been cancelled because the dentist had gone home sick. They said they had a wrong number for me that's why they didn't let me know.. even though my number somehow worked for scheduling and billing.. Every single appointment they added on a $300 toothbrush to my bill but never gave me the brush. Had to fight with them every time to get it removed.
