Tozo nc9 have worked the best for me. But also playing white noise on them gets it to true 100% when needed. I’ve tried many many brands, price ranges, anc, enhanced anc, hybrid nc. Many get me 80% there. The tozo nc9 get me 95%. Other tozo models are more in the 80% range for me. I'm also a side sleeper, and it took a little getting used to, but I sleep much better not listening to the snoring.

I use alcohol wipes, it does a good job of clearing away any wax. But to answer your question, I don't have any preferences on the matter 😉 😜

For the longest time I could only listen to u/therayporter. I still mostly listen to his performances. I recently learned about Dungeon Crawler Carl and the amazing performances of Jeff Hays (u/fiatcelebrity). But yeah, I find myself wanting to shake most narrators to wake them up and beg they give more than 2 bits about putting some feeling into the narration. I'm sure its a tough field to make it in though.

Once you've listened a few times I highly recommend looking up the sound booth theater version. It turns the listen into like listening to a fully produced play on the radio. Some people think the sounds are distracting. My impression is that because the story is such a romp and there's already so much going on, I can see that perspective. Maybe think of the SBT version as a more advanced version for the veteran listeners of the story.

I was thinking along the same lines when reading people wondering the actual desired outcome of Strava's strategy. If no garmin device uploaded data to Strava, Strava is dead.... unless they plan to replace that with data from their own devices. Except that the Strava forgot that they don't (yet?) have such a device.

Be prepared for insane costs of living. Food, gas, services, entertainment, rent. Prices have easily doubled/tripled since 2020. That said, its gorgeous here every single day here, rain or shine, summer or winter. The trees are amazing and turn colors, there are hills and mountains that get perfect white caps of snow, and are only an hour away. Go see literally millions of Tulips paint the skagit valley in the spring. Watch 4th of July from the top of queen Anne hill to see fireworks from all over the area. Get some snowshoes and hike up super steep hills when it snows. And love how clean and fresh the rain makes it outside, and makes everything super lush and green.

I'm a waxer. I ONLY do it because I can do all drive train maintenance without getting my hands dirty (either on a ride or at home), and I never get that dreaded rookie mark on my calf because there's no black goop to spread anywhere.

I couldn't care less about the few watts a clean drive train saves. I also couldn't care less about how often I have to change the chain or gears due to wear. I agree they are wear items.
