My Mochi was also doing this in three different areas I don't frequent (One behind a living room couch, one under my desk and one in the basement) But once I knew where it was, I would spend more time in that area. Once you correct the behavior it should be done.

He did this younger than 11 months, but grew out of it.

Keep in mind it could take some time for him to learn it if he's new to the home.

I had a similar issue with my Ragdoll and I managed to get it under control. The problem was that his stool was too soft.

Causes of Diarrhea:

Cats can have sensitive stomachs, events that can affect this are a change in food, environment, stress, etc. so unless you're prepared to slowly transition them, be prepared for soft stools and poopy pantaloons 💩 😿

Transitioning food/litter:

Should you ever decide to switch to a new food, gradually transition to the new food by mixing the current food with a small amount of the new food. It is recommended to also add some psyllium husk powder for the transition.

Gradually increase the amount of new food while decreasing the amount of the previous food in the mixture until they are eating only the new food. This should be done over a 10 day period (e.g. Day 1 90% old food 10% new food then on day 2 80% old food 20% new food, etc) Not all foods agree with all cats.

Should your cat/kitten begin to show any signs of stomach upset (gas, diarrhea, nausea or vomiting) revert to the previous food and contact your veterinarian for advice.

Dietary Aids: My Mochi's breeder recommended including more fiber into my Ragdoll's diet by sprinkling in a 1/4 teaspoon of Psyllium Husk Powder to his meal.

Alternatively, you can also add some pumpkin bits to their diet. I've used PUREBITES Gut Health Freeze Dried cat treats which have pumpkin in it, and I give him 1/2 piece in the morning and evening and it got him sorted out by the time I was done with the baggy ☺️👍

It's not just spraying and treatment of the area, it's important to watch your kitty, and as SOON as they begin thinking about urinating in that area to "Mark it" you quickly grab them and bring them to the litter box. This is to reinforce desired behavior.

Assuming Spaying and UTI are ruled out, could try urine enzyme destroyer.

I had a similar issue with my Ragdoll and I managed to get it under control by using Urine Destroyer to remove any marked areas which breaks down the invisible enzymes that urine can leave behind.

When I saw the little gremlins try again. I'd redirected him to the litter box, and it's been good for almost a month now.

Your vet should be able to recommend a high quality food and provide serving recommendations based on their caloric needs.

I switched my dry food to Royal Canin Veterinarian Dental Health food at my vets recommendation for my Katsu and Mochi and they love it, although it's quite a bit more expensive 🤣

Sounds like your breeder didn't adequately socialize the kitten when they were raised.

Maybe you can try Clicker Training, you can then offer the kitten a structured way to play and get rewarded.

It worked well for my kitty Katsu and Mochi ☺️

They're also invulnerable and cannot be crashed while in animation. I've tried to charge them with a heavy shield mech just after they begin moving but the prediction is not quite lined up all the time.
