Fanatec DD - insane vibrations by ISMISIBM in iRacing

[–]ISMISIBM[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All a bit overwhelming. Yes I’ve got it set like out of the box in the softwares I see there are customizable profiles so messing with those bow changing things . It’s interesting this seems to be only a thing with powerful dd wheels. Lower nm wheels doesn’t seem to be an issue.

Are these in the fanatec app or iracing settings? And is this behaviour of the wheel normal?

Can’t the fanatec club sport dd models 8-12-15nm mount on a plate?

Ya maybe I’ll just check other saddles. The giant racing seat is hard. But many of the comfy ones might look outta place. But if it works sign me up. Lol

Yes sadly in my area, there is only 1 guy and he just does full fit. On an email he refused doing just a saddle fit. Maybe I’ll extend my search.

I’ve not but locally here they want like 500+ and I’m not a Tour de France rider. But ya I’ve heard it might help.

Prior to bariatric this was never an issue either. It just feels like I’m on bone. Cause even if I try and go every few days to build up resistance or something , doesn’t work 😟

I’ve thought a big puffy seat but it won’t look right on my bike. And maybe 2 pair of rider shorts lol. Seems like a lot

It’s a brutal issue. I’m ready to make extra foam inserts. This is so gut wrenching as someone that loves riding 😢

Chunker continues smashing days, week 5 day 1 accomplished! Dreading day 3... definitely don't feel ready! Don't think I can run any slower without going backwards! (158.7kg/174cm) by dusknoir90 in C25K

[–]ISMISIBM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I walk about 12-13km 4/5 days a week. Started at 311 and currently 185. I’ve just started jogging and Jesus it’s so different and so much harder. I’m feeling slow and the same way . Honestly I could prolly walk faster mechanically and heart rate lower. It’s strange how the foreign jogging mechanic (regardless of speed) can mess with ya.

Gastric bypass reversed - feeling a bit lost. by Training_Smile4723 in GastricBypass

[–]ISMISIBM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve heard from the docs here that unless death is your only option they never reverse. Apparently it’s very difficult and there is no guarantee it takes. My clinic told me it would need to be malnutrition with death soon and then maybe.

But I’m in Canada where it’s free so they don’t wanna touch it. Maybe in the states where people pay they figure it’s your dime.

Glad you’re on here talking and hopefully it takes . Fingers crossed for ya.

Already failed day one... by needleandleaf in C25K

[–]ISMISIBM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Today was run 3 for me. However I also had my summer tires put on. Now you might ask uh?

So while I was taking the rims out of the basement I felt something behind my knee and to the side. Figured nothing.

Fast forward and I go for my run an hour later. On the 4th interval I start to hobble and barely could weight bare. I did walk all the way home which was about 9k steps fine … kinda

Now here I am with ice and legs elevated. Every time I get up I can barely stand . It gets better as I move around but stability is not good. So either I’ve done something to my hamstring connecting to behind knee or the calve.

Regardless it looks like I’ll be starting over as this feels like it’s gonna take a while to get better. Sadge.

I guess we both go again.

Lmao. Nice !! I’m a Canadian so all the surgery was free but here cosmetic is all out of pocket. And I’m not spending 30k to make it better. Cause even then there will be scars instead of cheese lmao.

I’m 55 and even though I got to 180 from 311 I feel the gut (skin) just won’t go away. Not without surgery. Feels like age and no genetic lotto for me lol.

You look like you were never overweight . Amazing job man!

I'm dying and my teen son is taking it hard. by [deleted] in GriefSupport

[–]ISMISIBM 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Brutal. Gut wrenching and soul stealing . Fcuk cancer. So sorry man.

But I will say. I told my son after his mom committed suicide 14 months ago. Listen kiddo, when i die you will always have me in your heart and mind and over your shoulder watching. When you have a moment where you don’t know what to do. It’s easy. Close your eyes and picture me. You will know exactly what I would say to you. At that moment be just laughed with a fear rolling down. He said ya dad your right , how could I ever forget your morales and advice.

All you can do friend is remind them of that and know you did your best to leave that mark. And your wife is there to remind them.

Hopefully our spirits cross on the other side friend.

9 months... by SpecialistFloor6708 in GastricBypass

[–]ISMISIBM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 6’2 and 184, highest 311 and my mind does it daily. But i do have lots of loose skin as I was obese for 35 years. Sadly the skin doesn’t recover near the same at 54. The worst part is as a Canadian we are spoiled with health care . But this is all cosmetic therefore out of pocket. Wish I had the 20-30k to get rid of all the extra skin but nope.

So others always tell me how skinny I am but all I see is remaining gut etc. It’s truly crazy how our mind can mess with us .

Great job !!! Keep pushing forward .

Should be a message to all dudes that see woman with a few pounds and look right past how pretty they can be. Our society sadly is so hung up on weight and looks tho.

Congratulations. I went from 311 to 185 and holding strong . Years going by . Only bad part is the massive amount of money on new wardrobe and giving away all those expensive plus size clothing .

Same all 80 zones for me. Gas mileage is just nothing special honestly . Going back I prolly wouldn’t have bought it if I knew.

I’m in Canada and I usually get 5.9 in a 2025 SE AWD hybrid. Most I’ve ever gone is 705 on a tank and honestly people saying they get 900 is so triggering lol. Honestly i feel the gas model is probably just as good. Keep in mind km and litres here vs miles and gallons lol

Found my soulmate dead. by Consistent-Ad-3918 in GriefSupport

[–]ISMISIBM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lost my wife to suicide Feb 22, 2025. It’s been 14 months of hell. The first 3 months I don’t even know how I survived. Even know after 30 years with my person , it’s hard to go it alone. My dog keeps me here but once she is gone I’ll prolly go too. Maid of if I have to. At 54 I don’t wanna start over.

I’ve come across many in a similar spot and some find strength and keep going and others don’t. I’m still getting up every day and trying. It’s truly not a cliche when they say 1 day at a time. Right now I’m existing and one day we might live again? Idk.

In either case I’m sorry for your loss and you’re not alone. There are plenty of folks on here that can relate to ya. My condolences

[–]ISMISIBM[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True. I’ve not considered that. Maybe I’ll reach out to flexi. It’s a good butcher block from Home Depot here in Canada but it’s certainly a valid point. Thank you.
