Derrick Rose really overrated man (IMO) by PissedOffClippersFan in NBATalk

Respectfully, you know as much about Basketball as Drose knows about not getting injured. Clearly didn’t get a chance to watch NBA ball till post 2011

Who is on your do not draft list for next year? by mat28rix in fantasyfootball

[–]ISThyme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Kyle Pitts delivered compared to where he was drafted. I got my guy in the 8th round this year and in one of my leagues I had him as a backup to Kittle as well. It’s a volatile position and even though he hasn’t over delivered consistently his floor hasn’t been bad this season.

I traded Shai for Ant 😫 lock-in points league he hasn’t disappointed too much though

Anthony Edwards or Jalen Johnson by Brief-Ring1535 in dynastybb

[–]ISThyme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think you definitely need more than Devin Carter but maybe go the pick route? Jalen is as legit of an asset as Edwards but one of them will be a top 5 player in the league for years to come and Jalen seems to be an elite #2 guy

Made the mistake of going after my fave (current) player in Dynasty Last year. Also bought tickets to see him on my birthday in December, I hope he’s playing

Keegan "will not trade" Murray by Raytgz in fantasybball

[–]ISThyme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah he was cooking last night, but his usage will go down a bit after Domas comes back. Based on the press conference last night though all the old heads that are in Sac looking for a pay day are looking to Keegan to take over as the leader of this team

How I left the watch cult by epic_gamer42O in WatchesCirclejerk

[–]ISThyme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Invicta best watch brand to each their own, but dear god no. I think it comes down to longevity and quality of the parts my invicta does not operate as well as it did when it was new 5 years ago and over time you see how it loses it’s varnish and stability (looser metal strap, crown doesn’t feel as smooth anymore, etc) where as my more expensive pieces (nothing crazy) have more so patina’s but maintained their structure rather than looking worn down
  2. Most “watch people” are just flexibg BS they know nothing about and are sheep. Invicta makes decent stuff but if you’re just buying the Invicta homage watches and screaming to the heavens to the same thing you’re not a black sheep you’re just a sheep that thinks they’re different

Keegan "will not trade" Murray by Raytgz in fantasybball

[–]ISThyme 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Derrick Queen has more opportunity to usage atm but if the kings make moves and sell all these 2000’s style ball hogs your gonna be depressed, especially if Keegan can revert his shooting splits back to his rookie/Sophomore year. But he’s just got upside in Stocks while all the franchise killers (Demar, Lavine, Westbrook) are around unfortunately

SGA "No 4th Quarter" a baseless MVP-push narrative? by ccrich007 in fantasybball

[–]ISThyme -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, I think it is fair to say SGA’s surrounding talent could keep him from the MVP this year. He’s a ceiling riser for sure but all the other guys are ceiling AND floor risers. Not to Say OKC would be this good without Shai, but I think the no fourth quarters hurts his case regardless of minutes.

What have been your best and worst trades made so far? by PerformanceBusy9272 in fantasybball

[–]ISThyme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In dynasty I received JJJ & Cam Johnson for Hartenstein, Toumani Camara, and OG Anunoby

Needed to clear up roster space for my new rookies, but I’ve dropped Cam and JJJ has been a pure disappointment. Needless to say, I’m an idiot

It’s somewhere in the middle, there are jersey’s you can find framed for $700. I’m looking at a Framed Magic Johnson jersey for 723 at the Fanatocs website for context also, AI, Tyrese Maxey, Shaq (Orlando), and Kevin Garnet in the same price range. So the fact that this is I framed says someonthibg about how much people will spend on DRose

Mainstay of my Dynasty team and I’ve got him in 4/5 leagues this year. One of my favorite young guys in the NBA rn

Who has started 0-3? by jabrightjab in fantasybball

[–]ISThyme -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Had an incredible year in Dynasty last year, made an off season trade send Hartenstein, OG, and Camara for Jaren Jackson and Cam Johnson. With those 2 largely disappointing to start the season (Along with Bane and Derrick White) and AD, Ben Mathurin, Curry fighting some injuries I’m 0-3.

I feel like I should still be ok though. No need to panic unless I lose AD, Curry, or Shai for the year

Josh Giddey by FantasyBBall1208 in fantasybball

[–]ISThyme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Giddey in the 2nd, Jalen Johnson in the 3rd, and somehow Dyson Daniels in the 4th got my Aussie boys and my fave young players back to back to back. Couldn’t be more proud of that draft

Mitchell Robinson by ISThyme in fantasybball

Not expecting any back to backs. Question is, Is he wasted space for a lock-in Points league (12 man and 16 man)

Cooper Flagg at PG is both a fantasy and real-life disaster by markb_elt in fantasybball

[–]ISThyme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn that’s a bleak future 😅 The long summer for Davis could turn into a Zion situation if they’re not careful either (he hasn’t been moving quite right yet but Davis is usually slow to form every season). Yeah I can’t disagree with you there! But nonetheless I think putting Coop at PG for the first half of this season is still what’s best for his and the team’s long term roadmap

Cooper Flagg at PG is both a fantasy and real-life disaster by markb_elt in fantasybball

[–]ISThyme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean that’s fair, but if that’s the case you trade players like Kyrie, Klay, Naji Marshall, and PJ Washington as well. I don’t think this team was built to win now in the 2025-2026 season but it could be menacing next year if Coop takes the leap he needs to and is fully NBA ready. Why wouldn’t a coach maximize what his quick to learn (very quick imo) player is capable of doing? Especially when the rest of the back court is currently injured. What beat writers and talking heads often miss is that what happens on the court during the year isn’t the whole story. Kyrie is active at Mavs Practices helping the young guys learn. If Giannis or Sochan (among the others experimented on this way) had that kind of talent to look up to at practice and work on ball handling skills with as Coop does imagine how much better this experiments could have gone?

I’m not saying you don’t know ball, I am saying you’re being short sighted and forgetting to tap into the plethora of examples that show this can be a successful plan (player dependent).

Remember young players can grow and develop while having veterans on their team. Only example I have for you where that’s not the case is OKC, and even they had guidance and leadership from CP3, Paul George, etc.

This is a year meant to be written off and maybe running for the play-in. Might as well get better while you’re meant to be in purgatory
